Re: Flashlight gb - dorcy cr123 - CHANGES MADE

I might want more or less once again depending on shipping and whether some friends want some. So, is it $14 each, plus $4 shipping to the US? Like, would be $46 for three shipped in the USA?

$54 shipped. Maybe less depending on what package Dave can find for 3.

It will be cheaper if the flashlight are removed from packaging as that takes a lot of room - Would you be okay with that Alex?

Re: Flashlight gb - dorcy cr123 - CHANGES MADE

So it's $18 each including shipping? Well, I'll see if a friend would want one. But, I've gotten them for $15 shipped from people on the forums in the past, and also they may once in a while be on clearance at Target. So, I may get 1 or 2, I'm not sure. I'd rather you not count on me necessarily ordering though, just in case.

Hi,
I can't guarantee that I'm in for more than 3, that is the maximum I can commit to at the moment. Feel free to PM me when you need payment.

Thanks,
Charlie

Re: Flashlight gb - dorcy cr123 - CHANGES MADE

is the $15 heatsink from dark horse our only option for these? or was someone going to make a non anodized one for 10? Thanks

Re: Flashlight gb - dorcy cr123 - CHANGES MADE

I think Mohrenberg or ndrew was going to do a custom run of heatsinks for these, but as far as I know Dark_Horse is the only one with stock at the moment - at Dark Horse Custom . His full-body design is well worth using, it is really impressive!

Re: Flashlight gb - dorcy cr123 - CHANGES MADE

I never made heatsinks before, but I have a small lathe of my own, and a professional big one at my school. And, I got plenty of piece of aluminum. So, if you guys would want, I could try making a batch and sell them for $10. It'd probably be a little easier to make press fit ones rather than set-screw (and also, press-fit is better in terms of absorbing the heat fully, and most people should be able to press fit since they have to press fit the diode in the module anyways). And, I'd maybe sell a little cheaper than $10 if buying multiple. My friend has a Dorcy, so I could try matching the heatsink with the one I have on there (which is a brass one made by Jake21 - old member which some of you might not know). And, I've never done set-screws but I'm sure I might be able to handle it. So, once again, if people would be willing to buy, I can try making some now in advance.

Edit: well, maybe I'll try making one sometime soon since I'll need one or two for my own Dorcy's if I order. So, I'll make it the exact size of the one Jake made me a while ago, and I'll post pictures and sizes. I'll also try making both press-fit and set-screw, although press would be easier for me to make and would have better heatsinking. But, you guys just let me know if you're interested. Because, I'm only 16 (turn 17 in a few weeks - will finally be able to drive!) w/o a job and I could use a little money on the side from this.
