I got to be honest....I absolutely hate these diodes, but at this price, I might be willing to take the risk. I don't have the money for one now, but I will in the future, if you are willing to hold on to one for me.

Don't hate them, they're doing OK so far in my "labby" setup... Unless you actually PAID for them, like $60 each! Hmm, who might have done that? ;D
Seriously, though, if you run them at 180mA with a good lens you will get more than enough power, and at $25, they will last longer than 2 PHRs will at a higher power.

I had 2 of them and they must have been overly abused.....because I ran the first one at [highlight]185mA[/highlight] and it ran for about 5 to 20 hours....wait a second, did I say hours....no I meant [highlight]Minutes[/highlight]... then the second one was ran at [highlight]175mA[/highlight] and it too also lived a very short life.
This of course made me very angry due to the fact that I did pay $60 a piece for them.
[highlight]I may have missed the response, but Jake can you hold on to one until about the middle of May for me. I am completely broke right now.[/highlight]
[highlight]I am not trying to kill this GB, but there are risks involved with this diode...you never know what you are going to get. I hope all of the ones you get are good.[/highlight]

My heatsink weighs 45.5 grams and is 1.8" across, it's huge do you think it will be alright at 200ma? sorry for all the questions this one is probably my last.
