at least to me, when someone says money order ONLY, the first thought in my mind is hmmmm SCAM. it may be a legit GB but i just dont trust money orders. you hear of WAY too many people being scammed over them and i have been scammed by a money order before as well, never using ebay with M/O again EVER.

This isn't the same source as I had. Mine was a bit cheaper.

I'm actually about to start selling 532nm lasers from my source in a few weeks after I will have my new lpm.

I will also post some new videos ... tomorrow DHL is coming so ...

Also check your shipping prices ... I paid $45 for 5 units with DHL. $30 per one ... sounds expensive.


I wanted to ask about the 100mW 532nm. Which model is it ? ...

Agreed regarding PayPal or some buyer protection. I imagine if it goes as other group buys, one person collects the funds, and then send the payment to the buyer. I certainly would not want to be on the hook for all that. I've written Dan about other payment options. We'll see what he has to say.

On the shipping, I suggested he provide one shipping rate worldwide. That's what other GBs have done.

Hmm. I've been following this thread for a few days waiting for the shipping costs before jumping in. Wire transfers aren't actually that uncommon (see the GB Hak just did for the PJs) and there's a good chance PP likely wouldn't do anything anyhow once they find out the money was for purchasing of lasers over 5mw. That said I'd be a lot more comfortable with PP being used to send my ~$225 for the three lasers I was considering.

I am NOT in disagreement. I can see the participants of the group buy are protected when they PayPal their funds to the collector (I'm guessing that's me) They are protected if I flake. But do I, as the fund holder, have much protection wiring payment to the seller? Maybe not. I'll give this some more thought.

Everyone can always get a Long Shining BLP-2500, 445nm, 1000mw, including hard case , 5 lenses, goggles, batteries, and charger, by each member individually purchasing 1 at a time from Long Shining's AliExpress retail shop for $110 + 21.35 shipping to USA --is not a bad price--pretty much what retail is for the same item from most Chnese vendors.

Hmm, on the fence about payment... It's one thing dealing with Hak & JL sending money orders, I trust them both 100%, it's another when the company is a relative unknown to me.

Shipping cost also seems kind of high.

second the high shipping costs. id drill into the seller and ask for PP and updated shipping. see what they say but dont push them too much as to cancel the offer :p

DHL for that size and weight should only be 26$ or so for one.

They are willing to allow me to purchase samples first. I am waiting to here back from them I said it sounds good but we won't be interested if it's not through PayPal.

You should wait for their response about paypal.

These companies prices are about the same ... it all depends on shipping cost and paypal.

Don't forget that they will charge extra paypal fee of %5 - %8. ( normal paypal fee is %4 ... I don't know why the chinese take more ... )

Also forgot about my source ... I got a couple of lazerer cyber's like 100mW from him today. Also had one from the last order.

mhemling, don't be hijacking my thread, now. If you want to offer a group buy, please start your own thread. :D

I agree with the views being expressed. Being on the hook for all your fees if something goes wrong is not my first choice. I have emailed him about payment. I asked for PayPal and buyer protection. We shall wait and see what the seller says. It may be a deal killer, it may not.
