CNI's pointers should have a labeling showing their max output is <5mW's even though the peak power may at times exceed that FDA limit.

CNI won't send anything your way over 5mW's unless you have a specific need for it(and proper documentation) or if you are getting a laser which isn't a pointer/handheld format.

I'm sure CNI made sure to make sure the labels read <5mW's. Remember that CNI is under the FDA watch list, I'm sure their just making sure everything is well &I will send them on their way :)

Wow! Nice laser --great image.
561nm much to my surprise is a great color--- I expected it to be ugly chartreuse /pea soup green. --- is a very nice bright and cheery/happy color as laser light ---no a fan of the color as paint but the monochromatic 561nm laser light color is visually striking/awesome!

I agree, and its very bright too. now you just need 568nm :beer:

That was when it was in Korea at 11:02PM on that day. Once it crossed over the International Dateline, the day effectively restarted making it 4:02PM in Alaska when it arrived.

FedEx tracking takes into account the different time zones & dosen't classify the tracking based on time. It even says at the top "Anchorage, AK".

Finally a light at the end of the tunnel! FedEx will be sending me some FDA paperwork to fill out, and after that we should be getting the lasers!

How come you need to sign some papers? Did CNI not properly ship the lasers with the correct documentation? :eek:

Darn, I'm really bummed I missed out on this. :(

Maybe. If these are built just like the other pointers, which they probably are, it wouldn't be hard for me to pulse them for stability or otherwise service them. I'd love to get my hands on one of these, but taking one apart for no reason is kinda silly, even if I do know what I'm doing.

Still, if anyone wants me to do something like power meter or spectrometer their laser, etc, I'm open to do so. I'll have to get with cni about another GB for these on the road....

I really need to get my butt in gear... I have a bajillion reviews to do still...
