Here's what I'm thinking... since I already got paid for all those orders and have promised you all the above price... If the difference is $1 or so extra each, then I think I can pay it by myself... :'(

Otherwise, I think we're gonna have to have a redo on these ones :-/ :-/ :'( :'(

Oh well... nothing to do but wait and see...

Daedal, you really shouldn't do that. You were just trying to help people get these cheap, by organizing a group buy, not to mention all the trouble you have to go through.

It's not your fault. You kept up your end of the deal. It's the suppliers fault.

The only fair thing to do in this case, would be for each of us to add that dollar or two or cancel, instead of you having to pay $200 (?).. How many did we order in this group buy? No way, we can't let you do that.


I can not cancel, because i have no way of recieving the money back.. And redoing this group buy would hurt me much more than a few more bucks, because of all the extra waiting.


P.S. And sorry, in case my previous post sounded like i was angry at you. That was not the case. Not in a million years. (want to make sure, just in case) I was just dissapointed about the supplier.

I know how you must feel now, but i think everyone here would agree, that it's not your fault.

seriously DDL, tell them to give it to us at promised price. if they are @$$holes and don't agree, I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY to pay the extra buck or two!! I really wouldn't want you to go through a major loss because some stubborn seller decided to squeeze us dry...

It sounds like the supplier is trying to play bait and switch games. If they won't provide at the price they promised, I'll pay the extra couple of dollars. Good luck dealing with the supplier, and thanks for all the work your putting into this for us.

Thank you all... I really appreciate the kindness you all demonstrate. I will do my best at haggling the price down as much as possible. Nevertheless, my offer is still here. If the price difference is minute I will suck it up and you all would not need to worry about the added cost. I'm thinking about the hassle of sending out so many invoices and asking for a dollar and change (added GC/PP fees). But if the cost is higher than that then I will have to do it. The problem is the order is very big, and a small change can add up pretty quick! :-[

I apologize for this error/issue on my behalf and on the behalf of the supplier as well.

I would feel so bad if you had to pay for it. I don't even see why you should. YOU are the one who should get some extra cash and not the supplier, but we all know that.
You have nothing to apologise for. You are a great guy and I'm thankful for it. You should't need to do any sacrifices or have to suffer from it, no no. It would be wrong as hell and I can't live with that. Even it the prise rise is very small, I'll still pay. No discussion.

Do you know why they raised the prise? They better have a good reason. Or is it some sort of practise usury at hand..?

How many BRs did we order in this GB?

Even if the cost should raise by a stupid amount, that would make the transaction fees higher, i would still want to pay for my blue rays fully.


You do more than enough free help and other favours. I understand you feel responsible (i would too), but you're not. Period.


Instead, tell the supplier, that if the price raises for a certain amount, each of us will end up having to pay double transaction fees for it. Do they know this is a GB, and how it works?

I would feel terrible if you had to make up the difference. This is a group buy, so all of us in the group are going to understand when problems like this arise. It's not like you sold these on separate websites like ebay and then couldn't supply them, we are (almost?) all members of the same forums, not entire strangers. I'm of course willing to add my couple $$s for this, as I'm sure almost all of us are.

Best of luck haggling, but focus your worries on the other front, not here (the home front)

although, if DDL were to collect money, he would have to calculate the exact fee and what to charge that will leave him with $1

I know when I started charging $1 for pots, I only got a portion of it... stupid fees...

No need to apologize DDL. The supplier is the one causing the problem, I don't blame you for their actions. I wouldn't feel right getting my BRs if I didn't pay for them completely. Have they given you the difference in price yet? There has to be a way we can make this work without putting the extra burden on you.

tell the PS3 distributor to make PS3's burn blu-rays at 10x, and tell them not to change the price. 30 dollar 10x blu!!!

No problem with a couple more bucks, but I had designs on having this pointer done in time for a big presentation I have in about a month, so I had thought this would be here in plenty of time. If not, I need to go ahead and try to order one individually. Any guesstimates on an ETA, even if it is a couple more bucks?
