WahHK,
Some of us are using an LM7805. This is a common 5 volt regulator found everywhere, and you can use a 9 volt battery with it. The only other two components you will need are a trim pot and a capacitor. The trim pot can have a rating of 25 to 100ohms. I am using 50ohms.

The first thing you want to do after you have the diode mounted in a module is to solder a 10uf 16 volt capacitor across it. Then wire the trimpot in series between the diode and the output of the regulator. Make sure the trimpot is turned to the highest resistance by using an ohm meter. Then apply power and adjust the trim pot for 35-40ma's. Here is a pic of the circuit compliments of rog8811.. ;)

Dear xarylx and Gazoo,

Thank you for your information!
I have decided to buy the laser diode only and make the power supply myself.
;D ;D

Sure do :)

I hook it up make sure it's working and then solder the ends together to protect it from static shock, bag it up, box it up and then ship it out :)
