The order status information you requested:
---------------------------------------------------------
Order # | Status |Estimated date of receipt
---------------------------------------------------------
178030 In progress 7/11/2011
Function of part: focus adapter
File name: aa Focus Ring (final branch) A5.ems
Thank you for your inquiry.

we're looking at 7/11 now...which is a huge delay. I will contact them on monday to see whats going on here.

WOW, I was hoping if we called them we could get a week or two shaved off but instead they added time. Oh well.

maybe i keep bugging them with status updates so they decided to tag on a few more days...LOL

anyways, thats pretty bad though...an extra 12 days. I will just have to speak with someone in person to see whats the deal.

Stevie - let me know what you find out. As you know, I placed an order a few days earlier for some 9mm diode modules. My sense is that this all relates back to their difficulty in locating an M9x0.5 tap.

Cancel the order and send it to me, I could get it done way sooner than that!

And if it was any real machine shop they wouldn't be using a tap for those threads, they should be single pointed. It's a lot faster and the threads are a lot cleaner, especially in soft stuff like aluminum and copper.

I am liking this proposition. We should seriously consider this so long as the price remains the same.

Faster? LIES!! The Arctic thread has been going for SIX MONTHS!! O____________________O

I'm kidding... I'm just here because i want pictures, the rest of the time i just post useless crap, so ignore me...

whoa whoa whoa pontiac!!!! where were you all this time?!!?!

this emachineshop is kinda pissing me off lately, so i will honestly consider dropping them in favor of your machine shop under 3 simple conditions:

(1) the design remains exactly the same
(2) Price is the same...or cheaper :D
(3) you dont hit us with "sudden" delays or go MIA on us... (havent been able to reach a real person from emachineshop yet...)

thats not too much to ask is it??

please find out if you can take over this project...i myself am very interested in knowing plus i know for sure you will be a lot faster than them and also I know Luke will be anxiously awaiting too since hes invested so much into this endeavor.

I'm pretty sure I can do all three, I also might be able to have them done this weekend, depending on if I have the material sitting around or not. What's the overall OD on these?

If you could send me a print or rough drawing of the thing I'll let you know tomorrow what I can do.

since the design was create on their software, it doesnt let me print something out with dimensions, the best i can do is save the preview image file and go into paint and add notes on various dimensions... would that be enough???

That will work, I'll try downloading that software so I can redraw it in something a little more format friendly.
