Actually, you aren't missing much. The photo is of five lenses per wrap and are 359 lenses in brown paper wraps, so you can't actually see the individual lenses. I have ordered many lenses before and this is how all of them had been shipped. Five lenses to a wrap and little cylinders of brown paper side by side.

If you just want to see them, go to my profile and click on " Pictures and Albums " and the photo is the first one in the line.

TomD, glad you enjoyed them. The joker301 is going to start sending them out as soon as it is morning there in Israel. Right now it is the middle of the night. So, the first lenses will be going out shortly.

Heard from Eitan, and he sent out a few lenses, so far. He said that the tracking #'s would be coming available later. And information would be available by Sunday. I am not sure if that means his Sunday or ours, but I'm sure he will elaborate when he is able.

lol last time i got my lenses from the GB and they came in that wrap, i instantly went looking for my hemp papers that are almost identical :p

all lenses at AixiZ are wrapped same w/ brown wax paper-

sure help when counting them out

I could be in a bind on mine- I leave home the 8th- no one will be here to sign- and they will sit until I return in 18 days--plus 40 plus forum members at SELEM will not get to see or buy from me-- :-(

But if anyone knows the pitfalls in GBs its me- ONE day can make a big diff- and time was wasted looking for non-existant greener pastures IMO.

I appreciate that, hak. At this point I am just a moderator and am trying to keep everyone informed as to what is going on. I have lenses coming, myself. I remember the O-Like group buy. It came down to just waiting for the lenses to show up from Greece, too. I will keep doing what I can to keep the members of this group buy informed. There is little I can do past that.

I appreciate you keeping us informed and thanks again for all the work you and Joker put into the GB.

This is the first GB I've participated in on the forum. I've used GB codes before and bought directly from the retailer before. But this is my first GB in this format.

I think it has gone very well. Just the fact my lenses are going into Israel, back out of Israel to end up at my door someday is pretty amazing to me. :beer:

I think that goes without saying. I don't sense any ill will associated with this GB. In fact, I don't think there's even a sense, suggestion, hint, seedling, etc, of anyone complaining about anything here (with the exception of your subtle plugs for how great it would be to buy lenses from Aixiz). Everyone is thrilled with this GB, unless I'm really missing something (it's possible - this thread is long and I haven't read it all).

So a big thanks to the organisers. All is peachy.

I've been googling the site here trying to find what the maximum power these lenses can take but unable to find the info, maybe I'm just using the wrong search terms. If anyone knows, please tell. Also, what happens when the maximum power is greatly exceeded by a factor of two or three times? Cracked lens?

It depends somewhat on the power density of the incoming
beam, but being a glass lens, it would be thousands of
watts. It's not really anything we would ever run into with
diode lasers.
