As an international, I need to point out it's extremely important for me to have the laser packed and labeled as a flashlight with a lower value, if possible. But most of all, no need for a priority USPS, the normal (first-class I believe) shipping option will do just fine. If it was priority there'd be over a 90% chance it'd go through my local customs:can:. Other than that I'm happy with everything else at this stage of GB:).

Still waiting on CNI's reply! Once they reply I will start collecting payments!

If I ship the cheaper method there will not be a tracking number! No sure about the priority option either though.

I have to head out to the lab now but I just got this email. What should we do?? I don't want any setbacks.

Dear Drake Anthony,
Thanks for your email, it is my great honor to provide you service.
Below price is confirmed.
But there is a problem, now USA checked the laser pointer and portable laser
strictly, so we are worried about the high powerful output power will be a problem
to USA, please
let me know your opinion.

This is great cause for concern... Does CNI offer reshipments/refunds if the lasers are confiscated? I don't think it would be wise to toss $650 down to customs...

Maybe I could have them shipped as parts?? Would any of you object to that? I'm sure I could assemble the ones that buyers did not feel comfortable putting together.

Speaking from my experience with the 561-- the only part that might be difficult to assemble will be the shutter in the front of the laser.

That said, it isn't too bad.

I feel the same as hwang, this isn't good news. Can you ask Ava (?) what's going on? If shes losing shipments, is this a rumor she's heard, etc...? I wouldn't object to parts, but let's make sure there's no delivery issues with parts, as well. I thought I read in the previous thread that the shipment from CNI would be marked so not to alert customs...I think this should be a question for Ava, also...thanks for your hard work, styro!

If they're worried I'm also worried. No way I'm going to risk if they can't guarantee delivery to you. Even if they refund I'll lose a lot of money due to PP crap, currency conversion and my country's credit card tax.

Try asking them what will they do if US customs seize the lasers.

As for shipping in parts - that depends. What will the parts be? Also would you still test them all?

As for cheaper shipping - can't you just use the tracked option on a smaller box? I'm not sure CNI sends one of those big boxes but if they do it might be an option.

I too would like some clarification from CNI - eg. has this been happening recently with increasing frequency, etc.

However, I would be willing to still participate if the risk isn't ridiculously high.

And I seriously doubt we're the only customers of CNI, the fact that they are mentioning this to us probably means that their packages have been seized. I would ask them what they do if our GB shipment is seized

Once Ava replies with my original question regarding shipping them disassembled I will ask those questions for you guys. This obviously concerns me...
