Well I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience in the group buys in this forum. One thing is for sure having the laser shipped to DJNY before it reaches canada is a plus, he can re-pack the laser an label it as a flashlight with a $10 value. Probably will not even be opened.

I have to agree that $700+ is a big deal of money, but hey we are all risking it. As for CNI making a profit out of the shipping, well I don't know about that, but you might be right, but there is not much that can be done with that.

I don't really know if CNI would have a problem in selling ONE laser less than in the invoice, but I always see it like this; If I commited to buy an item I stick with it untill the end.

On the original GB thread it was clear that the lasers would not cost less than $680, check the whole thread and it was clearly posted...

If CNI does it for one person, I'm sure everybody will want the same discount though... They're a business not a buddy ;)

However a 80mW 589nm laser at anything less than $1000 is an amazing deal, mine cost me a little less than $1300 when it was over

Received the payment from most of you guys!

I´m planned to make going pressure on CNI according the freight charges anyway. They just didn´t answer my last mail according this and I want this GB gonna to go as fast as possible!

As I said several times, you´re getting a refund if the final price is lower as soon as I´m receiving.

SO plexus do you want to leave the GB?

Regretfully, I want to back out. I am not comfortable spending $720 with no recourse in the event of a non-delivery. i would however buy direct from CNI as part of the group buy which was the original plan. it would be the same price but one less customs hop. its customs confiscation i am concerned about. i have friends who have had lasers confiscated by customs. they get a nice letter in the mail. i would prefer a laser or just keep the money in the bank. i am sure it will work for you guys and you will be the proud owners of a nice high power yellow laser! its just not that important to me.

Bah. That took waaay longer thani t needed to thanks to stupidity on my part. If you keep a credit card linked to your PP account like I do for big purchases make sure if it expires you know where the replacement card is so you don't have to spend 2 hours digging through crap to find it.

Anyhow.....

P.S. Waiting on the review of that 561, Raffle ;). It's next for me after I get this 671, and soon after, 510nm. It feels like you and I have entered some wavelenth race with each other. Ever since we first started talking about orange options back in the day.
