Glenn will not mind too much, he is a very calm nice guy... What questions did you have? I gave my opinion, but I can also answer your questions if you want!

I've just been gathering experiences, Dustin.

The RPLs seem hella solid, but are pretty much double the price for the same output PGL's... So I'm leaning towards taking Glenn's word that the problems have been fixed; I definitely want to end up in the >400mW range..

But, having the thing die 6 months down the road would suck, too. There's Viasho, too, I guess... So I guess I just wanted to get in touch with Glenn and get his opinion on what CNI might have said that makes him believe the PGL's are back up to par...

But what you went through... man, I can understand why you'd feel burned.

But the beam specs are horrid! expect to be needing to get a beam expander aswell with the PGL

Divergence, focus, or mode hopping?

I've got a PGL-589 and PGL-473 on the way from GB#7... so hopefully those'll be okay...

I've also got a 473nm PGL-III-C 50mW on the way.
It will be my second PGL.

I personally have only good things to say about my PGL.
With all the money CNI has been making on these GBs, I don't see why they wouldn't try to provide good units.

You have probably already read my review(s) of my PGL, but I think there may be another floating around somewhere by member ohada. He got the 500mW.

Yeah RA; I've got a PGL-III-C-473-50mW coming as well; your review is what made me consider the 532-400mW; Dustin's experience is what leaves me scratching my head :p

Hey folks, I noticed the yellow lasers were labeled 594nm, but we were reassured by my diffraction grating test and by CNI that they are in fact 589nm lasers. btw, they are very cool to see! -Glenn

Cool, Glenn.. Yeah, I saw the confirmation from Ava, too, that they are 589; from CNI's mouth at least.

Been a long time coming - wanting to see that beam :)

And I still want to get in on some GB#9 action... Still open right?

Yes GB #9 is alive and will be ordered soon as we can, it may take 5-6 days for the folks who have not yet paid to get it in, as soon as they do, we'll place the order. Today, I plan to ship the rest of # 8 except one PGL green that was a little under spec in output, but otherwise all were fine. -Glenn

Let me guess, Aryntha's?

lol jk but that is a bit of a cliffhanger, and seeing that there were probably quite a few PGL Greens in the GB, a lot of people are probably thinking/worying it's theirs...

peace & thanks

No, only one buyer had a PGL III- A- 532 nm ordered, and I also emailed that member. I think we have a blue also now to RMA, but of 17 lasers not too big a worry. -Glenn
