Holy Smokes Glenn, I already got my laser in the mail today, that was FAST !!!!! I'm currently waiting for it to come up to room Temp. before I turn it on. I can't hardly wait for it to get there/ Thanks again Glenn. A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU & YOURS. rob
I got the PGL-R+G=Yellow. Inside my house, with one light on in the living room, I'm able to see the BEAM from ALL THREE COLORS !!!!! The yellow is a beautiful GOLDEN YELLOW COLOR. I'm VERY satisfied with this new addition to my 'COLLECTION' !!!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas -- I got my GLP Blue today too -- Thanks again for all the pain Glenn. Just a quick measurement with a CR2 cell, 19 mW !!!! But that's my meter. YMMV.
Can these be run with a TR15270 3 volt LI rechargeable? They charge to about 3.6 volts.
About 10 minutes after removed from the charger, they are at 3.4 volts. UltraFire from DX.
I am not going to claim to know the manufacturers suggested maximun input votage but I will say that I have used up to 4.2V in 2 aquaries lasers without any ill effect.
I'm not ready to try 4.2 volts yet :undecided: The laser has a pulsed driver to control power and 3.4 volts should not be too high. I will wait for a couple more opinions however!
As Glenn said -- This laser is 14 to 15 mW. I must agree. It peaks around 18 to 19 mW and over a minute drops to 15 mW. Drawing 620 mA from an 800 mAh cell seems a little harsh on the cell!
Nice Mike! I must concur also. Glenn said mine is 13mW with weak batteries and with fresh ones it can be more. It definitely is. I just pointed it outside my window here in NYC (A lot of light pollution here) and I saw the beam clear as day. Times like this I wish I had a LPM. But this thing is way brighter than my 5mW greenie, so yeah it's definitely a sexy laser. Thanks Glenn!
So how much out of how much got there units already? I'm liking my Pen Glenn!! I like cutting electrical tape lol. Do I have anything better to do? NO! Well maybe.. But Id rather do this lol.
