O.K. again, (forth time), a few folks wanted CNI yellow pens that peak at least 4-5 mW also, there is interest in the "Aquarius" type CNI Blue lasers and these are about $450 minimum at LG and I have contacted CNI and was assured I would be able to get the best deal. Last 2 blue pen units these were about 10 mW at about $365. CNI yellow, blue and green lasers are all the best prices shipped I have seen. If you are unaware of the usual costs, you could email CNI or me. We all save with the combined shipping. Hey, I'll ask, but that may be a stretch. *If they will do that, or even sell the BR lens it c/b a good eh?

btw, I believe they use a diaphragm or set of lenses next to the LD to make the dot round, that would almost surely lower the final output. This, we will soon know, as I sent my CNI to Igor to & ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I was quoted at $450 for PGL-III-635/200mW... Can't afford that though, bought a dilda.

I'm buying a PGL-III-C-473/50mW /Unit USD770.00 after 2/2/2009, as CNI is taking a holiday until then and is not producing/shipping any lasers. I'll be placing my order in two weeks. If anyone wants to hop on please send me a PM. I'd *love* to split their nasty shipping charges.

Hmm, you either mean 473 or 593, right? 473 would be the Aquarius, so that's what I'm going with.

$380 shipped would be a good price, the 2-5mW on LG is $589 (-10%). I may be interested maybe, I do want to fill in those other 2 rarer colors (473 and 593) for my pointer collection. Have to talk to the missus, I reckon.

How much is the 593 looking to be? I remember Gooey quoted $270+shipping for the 2-5mW if we ordered 10, about the same here? Not sure if we can get to 10 of each of yellow and blue, but whatever others want to do. Don't change your minds on account of me, I might not be able to do anything on this go anyway.

Thanks pullbangdead, I corrected it. I will continue to work to get the order larger, then twist some Chinese arm to try for a better deal, but we would need to sell a few to hit $270 on the yellow, and that's before shipping, they charge a lot to ship! Then I need to send out the goods, so there's more shipping costs. But in the long run, if a decent # of members get the order together, we can save a good bit. The prices posted so far are not the final deal and we have some time to get the act together. Thanks All and please spread the word! More orders is less shipping cost and more leverage to negotiate!

I just looked at their power meters....

They are all Optical Silicone Sensor heads.... which need compensation for different Laser Wavelengths..
and it does NOT have the ability to test 405nm wavelengths...

You would be better off getting a Thermopile Based LPM.. 8-)

CNI is one of the best chinese laser manufacturers out there. Their lasers are always overspec and IR filtered...

Hey Glenn, I could possibly be interested in a MPL-F-266 depending on the discount you can get.

How would I know it's not underpowered or mostly IR? Do they provide some kind of certificate or power test graph? I wouldn't mind the extra $ and extra couple of days for that.
