When are you submitting the order to CNI? Would it be possible to get the laser before the first week in august? I am going on a trip and would really like my PGL for then...

Glenn This time I think I'm going to have to call it quits this time unfortunately. The thought of not getting that hercules really saddened me. Lol maybe I will wait for LG to sell one cheap or get in a Viasho GB. Sorry for wasting your time, But hopefully I stirred up interest for you.

Don't count on it arriving by then. Even if he submitted the order today, the bank transfer takes some 5 days, it takes them at least two weeks to process and manufacture the order, and another week to ship (including them preparing the shipment, not just transit time), then another 2-5 days before it arrives to your door from Glenn. Sorry but this takes a good amount of time, but it's very worth it in the end.

That sucks. Im going to santa barbra and there will be a lot of room there to point my laser around...Oh well. Lets hope its worth the wait.

The bank transfer is 2 days, and they already know what I am ordering, it did take a month once, but the other two times it was under two weeks. So, I have hopes I'll get it to you before August folks.

OK guys this GB thread I will only use to update on the shipping.
I will do another round from CNI, they are the only company to get 593.5 nm, (yellow) lasers from, have good prices on the 473 nm "Aquarius" pen, the PGL RG and have the slender powerful 532 pens as well as a good price on goggles etc. But for portable, (think RPL), Green or Blue lasers, I highly recommend the Optotronics GB. -Glenn

Well i am actually going to a little town south of santa barbra...Its called carpenteria. Im just vacationing. I wanted the laser because there are hills behind the town that get really dark and clear at night. If i went up there with my laser (Im getting a PGL-300mW btw) with my LG beam expander i could see the beam for miles. If I get the laser by the time i go to carpenteria you will DEFINITELY see pictures of the beam. Ill also do some long-range burning tests ect.

Awesome. I know Carp, I live in Santa Barbara. Well technically, since you know the area, I live in Goleta. Carpenteria is a nice little town, the epitome of the laid back California beach town.
Just be careful in the hills with the laser. With 3 fires in the immediate area in the last year alone, people are paranoid. A 300mW actually could start a fire if it's dry enough out I suppose, but I'm sure you'll be careful in that regard. What I'm talking about is other people or you getting in trouble; even with a laser that couldn't start a fire up there, people are paranoid about it just because of how many fires we've had recently in SB. Wouldn't want anyone giving you a hard time with it, but you should be fine either way.

Yeah I really like carpenteria.
I was planning on pointing it "off" of the mountain. Not exactly into the sky but at other mountains and stuff. I'll tell you which night I'm going out. You may be able to see the beam/dot. I think goleta is like 20 miles from carpenteria. It's going to be awesome!
