Hey folks! The Lasers are all here! I tested them the best I could, my Kenometer is out of service atm. The best shipment yet! The PGL III 532 nm (18650 battery) unit looks like 280 mW to me. It's brighter looking than my PGL III that I measured at 265 mW when the meter was working. The 50 mW pens are twice as bright as my old Nova, (CNI) 60 mW, I would say near 100 mW, the yellow pens (2 units), are real good est. 4-6 mW and the Blue GLP 473 nm is looking about as bright as my Aquarius -10 maybe a bit brighter. Best of all the PGL III 593.5 nm >5 mW, (uses 18650 battery btw), it's a WOW unit! I think it's 8-14 mW after a couple of seconds warm up! I guess I will have to get a brightter 594 nm one of these days after seeing this beauty! They also comped me a new nose filter for my yellow pen, and the new one is scatter free! (it was slight scatter but it bothered me). I am sure I'll get them posted tomorrow, or as soon as I have the sure address in the one case of pianoman's yellow. Thanks everybody!

Awesome!!!! I guess the old saying that good things are worth waiting for is true in this case - instead of a dead red I'm getting a killer yellow!

I mailed all the lasers and cases out this afternoon. Please let me know when yours arrives. Thanks all!

I will consider doing another GB from CNI in just a few weeks if there is interest.

There is interest Scopeguy. These are i guess RPL lasers? I want a laser that will fit a Beam expander and possible a new lens and assembly if they come out for green lasers.

My friend and I would both spend at LEAST 800 dollars.

^CNI is the manufacturer for LaserGlow. Basically, if it's on LaserGlow's website, you can order it in this groupbuy.

Also, you can check out CNI's own website for everything they make, but without any prices listed. Scopeguy can get you the prices once you have an idea of what CNI makes that you would be interested in.

IIRC, and I may be completely wrong, CNI doesn't make the RPL series laser, Viasho makes those lasers for Optotronics.

Alright thanks. I've been here less than a week so I'm still learning.

Hmm so group buy is cheaper :) Nice. And CNI has beam expanders!!! Yes! I hope they fit with theirs. Looks like I'll probably be buying a cheaper beam expander and maybe a 300mw laser. Thanks guys! I'll be waiting with my friend, he might get a beam expander too.

How much would you say they aid in burning?

A beam expander would make almost any laser a burner (30mW + beam expander can burn black plastic easily). The reason why it's so difficult to burn with normal pointers (non-focusable) is just because you cannot adjust the focal point which is the optimum point for burning. With a beam expander, you can adjust the focal point to burn things less than an inch to several feet away. I HIGHLY recommend getting a beam expander (or using a simple magnifying glass if you are burning up close, but it can be a bit of a pain).

I am looking to buy a green laser 250+mW with a 2X beam expander. What is the base price for this?
