re: CNI GB

These things are AWESOME, love them both.  And the 593.5 is the first laser I've ever owned that my wife actually likes and is excited by.  She really likes the thing, now I'm worried she's going to steal it.  I guess the pure uniqueness of it is what she likes.  Red is everywhere, green is common, I've had violets for a year now, and the violets look blue half the time anyway whenever you're hitting white things with it basically, so the new 473 isn't exciting either.  But the yellow/orange is completely unique, so she loves the thing.  Looks like I might be buying another one whenever this kind of deal comes around again  ;D.

And I'm really shocked more people didn't get in on this.  With the lasers I got, they retailed for way OVER $1000 combined if you got them from LaserGlow, and I got them for $700.  Really, how come more people didn't get in on this?  Easily 50% savings on these things.

An amazing deal, great work scopeguy on the groupbuy, I couldn't be happier.

I would of if I had seen this group buy in time. Hopefully there will be another.

I didn't have enough money when this group buy was being conducted. I'm also hoping that there will be another.

re: CNI GB

Hey PBD and Dark_Star, and other folks participating or posting, Thanks! I am not really sure about another full GB, but one shipment to replace Schrecken_Licht's laser is a possible chance to add a few other items, that will be in about 7-10 days, as she already has decided to switch to a PGL III-C-594 -5 mW, AKA Vega laser. I think when it ships, we can add a few units with the shipment maybe. Please let me know what units maybe wanted, I can see what prices we can get. -Glenn

I really hate to say this, but today I got the Customs Bill for the GB! :(
It is just over $131, add to that I was over the projected costs of shipping and associated costs like insurance by about $90, so, the next time I try a CNI GB please expect me to charge another $12 per $100 in order to cover the real GB costs! I guess I learned it the hard way. It was very tough on me as I am not working at this time. On the up side I think I saved at least that much on my 2 lasers, so, I just spent $ I didn't really have, and I let the other GB buyers get a lower cost than was realistic.

Is anyone planning to get a CNI soon? I have a replacement unit that will be shipped in about 1 week, and if we gather more laser orders together, it w/b a good time to get them. AMB! -Glenn

Wow! Are you serious? You payed out of your own pocket? This is not right man, yo come up with the list to cover those Custom charges, and divide appropriately on the prices of the items LPF members got. IMO people should respect you and get you those $$$. Every one pitch in! (in respect to the price of your items)
I'm still waiting for mine, should be here tomorrow morning, I'll let you know in the evening. Anyway... I'm not telling you how to do your GBs Glen, just saying :) Get the list!, and I'll be more than happy to cover my part of the Customs Bill.

Edit: some people will think that I'm an asshole for bringing this up, but come on! Glen got us premium toys, and some of you spent a lot on them, he went trough all the trouble and what not... so few $$ should NOT be a problem for people of this GB, IMO.

I'm seriously considering the combined red/green portable laser, 250mw portable "yellow" sounds awesome...

Are you going to do another GB? How long do I have to decide?
And I will be very glad to add to the payment a compensation on the last GB delivery and customs.

BTW, I still haven't received my laser, I suspect it will only arrive at the beginning of next week.

Thanks ohada, I asked CNI about the cost of one of those new RGY PGL's they do seem cool to me. I will post and let you know the cost when they tell me.
Thanks again to all Gb buyers, (we would certainly have spent more on both the units and the shipping if ordered seperately). If you who purchased would take your total and multiply by 0.06, the result in USD w/b enough to pay your part of the customs. I can't require it, and I would not want anyone to feel like there was any shame or blame on them if they don't, but it would sure help me with my mistake. Thanks Again All!

You got it!

Ok, got the laser today, pretty cool, got the best batteries i could from Best Buy (Energizer Ultimate Lithium) looks cool and build quality is good.
but
Beam Divergence is not so great :( at distance of 10 meters the dot becomes 2.5-3cm

Now what... anyway, if this is the case, the lens is too tight or to loose? It looks like the shutter cap can be unscrewed...

Sorry to hear that, when this happened on a similar PGL sold through LG the buyer was told to go ahead and take off the heat sink and see if the lens c/b adjusted if it turn without much trouble, you can fix it yourself, this advice though was not without some worry of the mfg warranty issues. So, you can try that, or ask CNI if they would still honor the warranty, but sending it to China is not something I w/b anxious to do. I did look at the dot size on a neat 30 ft away wall, and it seemed small, (sorry, I didn't actually measure it), but, it c/b loose enough for shipping to move it. The one the other fellow adjusted, was easy and is quite perfect now, btw. AMB! -Glenn

Yes I already managed to take the shutter off, but i do not know how to proceed... Do i need to turn the lens/optics counter clock wise or clockwise? Just grab your adjustable laser and see what makes the beam thinner.

Oh wow... i didn't even realized that the lens is SOO EASY to adjust, you might be right lol, it adjusted "itself" during the shipping. LOL it moves with the touch of the pin. Duh!

I'd like to buy a 75mW 532nm Pointer (I owe it to my friend, I took the blame for losing his Viper 75, totally wasn't my fault though), if that helps at all. PM me with a price, and I'll let you know if I can pay up.
