Glenn, how much luck have you had with the PGL-III-C 532's recently...

The PGL-III-C-532 400mW one I got from you recently "died" and became a 150mW green... (after about 10 total runs...Really disappointing for $700+ to have it die in a year, and out of warranty of course...)

(I don't suppose CNI would do anything for me in a million years, would they...)

Just a little leery about spending that much again just to have it die again once it gets a bit out of warranty.

I believe it has to be 447nm blue and 650nm Red... & I want one, but have other greater needs. ;)

Time to jump folks, or wait for GB #13!

I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in CNI myself. My GLP-473 that I got from Glenn's GB about a year and a half ago recently fell apart on me. Thankfully, I was able to put it back together. You can check out my thread here. I had to use a piece of foil to hold it together again.

I think so too :)

I'm assuming that the PGL-RB-655 should be a chunk cheaper than the PGL-RB-640 since the 655 diodes are so much less costly than the 640.

When I got a quote from CNI way back, there was a big difference between the two. I think it was closer to the price of and RV 655.

I'd love to jump in on this if there's a reasonable turnaround. Challenge for me is that I have some funky location timing this summer, so I'd need to be able to plan delivery +/- half a month.

The CNI quote is easy. PGL-RB-655 is $280 + $85 in shipping, bank fee, and insurance. So basically $365 USD after all fees and costs, if you do it straight from CNI.

That was a few months back, so the price may be less now, but probably isn't. The GB price is presumably a bit lower than that.

Yes, I had to delay as a buyer didn't come in w/ his order, and with less than 5 lasers, it takes a bit more 4 to get the batch, so, I'll order very soon and the units s/b coming as fast after the order is placed as any usual order they produce of these lasers. Sure glad to hear it rhd! -Glenn

I'd be interested in seeing what the quote is for that one too.
