Ok, if you're using regular lithium-ion 18650s, and they're only charging to 3.8V, then something is wrong with your cell or your charger.

A regular 18650 should charge up to ~4.1 or 4.2 Volts.

If it was a LifePo4, that would be different. But a Sanyo is going to be a typical lithium-ion 18650, and if it's not peaking above 3.8V charged, then you've got a problem with the cell.

My battery is fine. I'm using it 3+ months.

But I'll test it.

Well - your battery may not be the problem with this laser (and in fact, probably isn't, since I don't think it could have damaged anything by being under-voltage). But it's not a healthy cell for sure. Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but I believe a lithium ion that can't charge above 3.84V is damaged.

Mine's in with that I think too, I ordered one seperate from the GB. Wouldn't make sense to produce the three then break then do the last would it?

Oh yeah just a wee bit then--
Ah custom orders, they disable what you don't need and overpower the rest. I hope.

Dear friends, I have searched all over the web and found out that laser things in USA cost the most although sometimes I have no choice but to buy from US. Things in China are far cheaper but their mode of payment s are not cheap. I found out the hard way after ordering that they don't use pay pal or credit card. So I told them sorry. The next day I got a long page of spam. Not all companies are like that, some do use pay pal and accept credit card. Tony1. Talk later

That's just how CNI works. Shipping to the US, yes it's highest because CNI doesn't ship to the US, for FDA safety reasons; so it must be sent to another country that will send to the US. They don't use paypal because paypal likes to take their cut of the pay from the funds they receive, while banks charge you directly. They may have sent you the long page of spam because they might not want to lose a potential customer. If you're dissatisfied with their payment methods buy from laserglow, they sell CNI products.

Also, may I ask what you tried buying?

Besides, CNI has good quality, it's much better than the average Chinese company you seem to like.

Hey Glenn, I bought a PGL III-M-532 150mW from you in a GB about a year ago (an amazing laser, btw, I highly recommend it to anyone looking at this GB right now).
Edit: lol, scratch that, apparently it was 2 years ago next month that I bought it.

I was wondering if there was way you/CNI could let me send in the laser I have, which, due to being dropped one time suffers from the occasional operating hiccup, and essentially upgrade from the 150mW to a 200mW model for some nominal fee or something? I've been wanting to beef up my lasing power, so before I go and buy a 445 from the Jetlaser GB, I was going to find out if I can just up my greenie. Any info is immensely appreciated! -SK

I wish, but with 2 years, just guessing here, but, I do not think they would upgrade unit... I will ask if you like. If so, please give me as much detail as possible about the functionality issue(s) ok? -GH

Well, I dropped it about 16 months ago, and really the only functionality issue seems to be that sometimes while it's running, it will cut off. Honestly, I think it's only a problem with the battery spring being a little overcompressed from when it fell, or that the laser module got a little jostled within the host and therefore the button doesn't like to make full contact with the switch on the module inside.

A dropped laser pointer from knee height will surely give trouble if you are unlucky. The problem if what you say is right is solvable. The sudden jolt has put in a loose joint somewhere in the circuit . It may have caused a dry joint. It has to be opened and checked. If you can use a multimeter you trace the fault. It is not a junk yet. If you can't do it get help.
