Count me interested for a PGL-III-C 515. Provided it's nearer the end of the month and I have the money for it, I'd definitely be in.

OK Thanks that's 3 at least... , & about the end of the month is likely as soon as the order will be ready, I believe. AMB! -Glenn

Here's the offer:
MPL-III-532nm-1uJ with 5% stability, PSU-III-FDA $2690.00
Remember these ship separately so the GB delivery is not tied to the delivery of any Lab lasers, and there may be higher shipping as they may be more bulky and heavy, also, this does not include PP fee, (if used). -Glenn

At that price I could get an EOM Q-switch along with a respectably sized cavity. I'd expected it to be high, but not that high.

I think I remember now, they were 2X "C" cell batteries like in the CNI web iirc, still, ASAP, I'll get confirmation...

Glenn,

The 655 is fat beam/multimode/diode, NOT DPSS like 671, right? (I know CNI does do some other red DPSS WLs)

Hmm, well I'm looking at the 500mW 655, is it only able to be powered by C batteries?

That's a good question actually. If you go by Glenn's listing for a PGL-III-C host for the 655, it's an 18650 battery. Only deviation from that I've seen is for the 445 lasers, which are 2x CR123. However, the only handheld listing on CNI's site is for a PGL-III, which is for a 2x C model.

Glenn, is your listing for a new laser host that CNI doesn't even have on their site, or is it actually the PGL-III listed?

If CNI's site is right, yes. They do show a 656nm DPSS wavelength, but all they list under it are labbies.

Yeah but she probably wants the 150mW $8000 model :yabbem: which probably wouldn't help the group buy situation of mere mortals like you and i, Phi.

Looking at your signature, "mere mortal" is not what comes to my mind. ;)

Yes, I believe the beam was too fat and divergent the last time I ordered one, and it was returned, also, I recently remembered they use 2X "C" cell batts. -Glenn

Well I don't mind so much the fat beam. But if the divergence is really that bad then idk. I've just been looking for a quality 500mW Red laser and most places stop around 300mW.

Well... I hate to tell you my opinion, but I still have never seen a 500mW red CNI portable, so, it may be that they still just do not exist.

I'm still bugging for the portable 515nm , but CNI so far isn't seeming interested...

BTW, Ava told me that they are still experimenting on the 515nm PGL-III-C. Hope to hear a "please stop asking, here you have your 515nm, rest in peace" soon
