I've read OP again but it wasn't very clear on this: is Kevin shipping all the lasers for you to re-ship or is he shipping them directly to the final buyers?

I collect the orders and payments then i send the order+ money to kevin. He then produces tha lasers and ships them right to the customer. It would be a pain to have em shipped to me first because of the expensive shipping.
IF however you live in the EU, you buy an expensive laser, you dont mind paying extra shipping and you dont have an LPM then you could have the laser shipped to me. I test it and resend it to you

I'm interested in the HL520 (50mW) and the HL405 (500mW) with a couple of the accessories (tripod, pen tripod, and diffraction cap).
The quick math looks like $292 before shipping. PM me with the total + shipping out-the-door price once you know what it all looks like close to close.

KapHn8d is there any chance you would be interested in the PL405 instead? I own both the HL and PL 405nm listed and the PL is twice the host the HL is in my opinion.
There are others who will back me up on this including Blord
As Offroad stated though, the PL will not take the difraction caps as the aperture hole is too big if that is what you are after.

The only reason I didn't order PL in both is because the 520 wasn't available in PL for the GB and I thought the same size host might have some advantages. The extra few bucks is worth it if y'all feel the host is THAT much better.

No it does not mather to the GB in any way. It is just my personal experience with both models. The PL is the best choise for higher powered lasers because they have more mass. Also they come with a nice case and charger.
For the 520 is is kinda useless to have such a big host but still look cool though.

I would make my decision on two factors. Portability or looks and runtime.

The PL weighs quite a bit more and looks nicer. Suspect the heatsink is quite big in comparison to the HL.
Can someone else help me out with describing the diff. so it's not just coming from me?
Understand that I was initially totally against buying the bigger PL in the last GB until I received a couple. You would EASILY understand if you owned one of each. Unfortunately, the way Sky builds the units you would need a bomb to open them as they are not meant to be serviced. Everything is glued tight. Have never heard of someone being able to get one apart other than Blord but he got a special deal that one of his came in pieces/parts and built his so that it could be serviced. Think it was the 520.... That's why he has a PL520

Seems weird to have such a big host for a low powered unit (personally would like the 520 in either the PL or better yet, a pen) but the 405 in either host will almost certainly be class4 and quite a bit overspec. My HL was 734 and the PL was 667mw but if I had to give one up I would keep the PL. Besides the obvious weight/feel, the HL seems so "plain" looking to me.
DON'T just go off what I am saying, listen to others opinions. These are good guys here and many own multiple of each type. Please make your own decision here. Didn't mean to come off so strong.
