I just wish I had the money to get that fancy 1W 650nm. It's a steal for $265!

Edit: That 808nm one is very very tempting, for I miss my old IR Laser. I'll see if I can scrounge up eighty bucks.

Skylasers have been very good about being on spec actually. Reviews by DJNY, Yob, etc, all were on, or overspec.

The offer to replace if underspec is also something that gives me a lot of confidence... making that kind of an offer is not something a seller would do without a measure of confidence.

Hey guys a quick update for new forum members participating in this GB! I have been discussing this topic with other experienced GB hosters.

LaserBtB will get a tracking number for each order, however to protect myself from scammers that are going to claim their money back from me all members up to Rep level 6 will need to send the money as a "gift". This is nothing personal but just to protect myself. All other payments via paypal will be refused. If you really have not received a laser contact me i will take care of the refund.

If however you do not want to send the money as gift and you want to bail out of the GB i respect that

Sorry i should of put this earlier in the thread but i wanted to discuss it with other members! I will also put this in OP.

They're fascinating and they burn like crazy. A really cool thing I did with my old one was use it as an invisible flashlight with my IR night vision goggles. I would unfocus the beam, and it would illuminate any room while looking through the goggles.

I concur with this idea. It just requires me to trust that you won't screw me over. I won't be backing out, though.

I've gone through the thread several times and the closing date is the 9th but I haven't found where to PayPal the money to. Am I missing something or has the GB not closed yet? I don't want to miss the boat because I didn't buy my ticket.

it is for my own safety because many GB hosters get screwed by new members claiming their money back. Again not a personal thing.

I just cant afford getting screwed a expensive laser

Hello offroadfreak8582, I saw you want us newbies to send you the Paypal as a gift. Not a problem for me, but I am not that familiar with Paypal so I checked my Paypal account what is required to send the funds as a gift. I am assuming you will supply me with your Paypal registered email address or mobile phone #? After having either one, it looks easy. thanks

Yes on the closing date i will send you the paypal email which you can send the money! When you are sending the money, highlight the "gift" tab. Since you are unfamiliar with paypal, do you have a bank account/ credit card connected? If not you should put money on your balance asap to pay me by friday!

Is it possible to get the PL 405nm 500mW instead of the HL 405 500mW ?
(Just becouse i like 18650 cells more couse of the higher choise in mAh a.k.a better run times ? )

Also, the website say's the PL 405 uses 2*16340 batteries.
But in the picture's taken of the PL 405 version, you see what looks like a 18650 battery.
It looks like the same host used for the PL 650, PL 532nm etc.. wich also uses a single 18650 cell.

Can you verify this for me ?

Hello again, Yes I do have a Paypal Account. I used a Money Pack yesterday to add money to my account, so its there just waiting until Friday to send to you. I didn't want to use a credit card or bank account for this.

Wel changing to the PL version is going to be difficult since i did not request this Laser for the GB. Especially two days before closing and you being the only one wanting one. That is not going to work

Just for clarification. All PL lasers use a 18650. All 532nM HL lasers use one 3.7V 16340. For the HL405 i am doupting it is a 1x 16340 since the driver and optics take a lot less room then a high power 532nM. Also you would need a highr voltage for the driver in 405.

Conclusion as the website states 2x 16340 seems the legit information. This is good because it will also give you longer runtime

Well it looks like the info on the website is wrong then for the PL405 ? sinds it say's it takes 2×16340 ? that was my point really

I know it won't be 1×16340, never said that, and doesn't say on the website. (seems clear to me)
The HL version is also clear to me except for the question if it takes 2× 3.0V or 2× 3.7V
