According to a silicon photodiode power meter, my 300 mW greenie is putting out 2 watts. I am suspicious! Also, my cheap safety goggles are crap.

Well since we had a big temperature drop my laser isn't metering as high and when I first got it. I think the temperature is the reason because all my batteries where charged to 4.2v.

It seems to me that most 532s don't like low temps. My little pen doesn't even like running well when outside temps touch the lower 50s. When I first ran my skylaser 532 my house's ambient temp was about 67F and it seemed to preform great so I am hoping it does ok in lower temps too.

I've had the same with my green penstyle laser. It seems all DPSS lasers are affected by temperature.

If I left it outside to cool down to about 10° C (or colder) then the beam would be nearly invisible outside at night, once it warmed up it started shining though :)

It's something we have to live with if we want green coolness

Yeah at least until DG diodes are made in mass quantities.

I cant wait for that day but the problem is I will not be surprised if the diodes are beyond expensive at first so I will likely have to keep waiting until I can get one XD
