Supposed to be one 16340. Which means it will eat through it SUPER fast. Nothing but AW IMR is going into my 300mW laser...

Actually I'm kind of surprised that they are running them off of 16340 batteries, personally I live 18350's a lot more... than again, my TiB runs off of a protected 14500 without any trouble.

Definitely getting some from yob then. I just want 2 tho :(

EDIT: the ones yob is selling are 18350s! Where can I get some 16430s?

Check out the last few posts on that thread ;) He's only selling 16340's now, but hasn't said anything on how much they cost. I'm definitely going to get some of them.

Thanks for the update. This GB goes faster than I though :)
I hope they have my laser in stock and don't wait for searching an efficient crystal match.

Yeah, what would be the point of not getting the higher powered protected cell if it has the same price and 25% more capacity? Am i missing something?

Well, the difference in the two batteries is supposed to be in the chemistry, and the protection circuit.

The protected are supposed to be ICR, underneath the wrapping.

The ICR vs IMR situation basically boils down to this... IMR batteries can support a much higher draw, and don't sag as fast. ICR batteries can't handle as high of a draw, but have a higher capacity.

I'm no battery expert though, so as far as specifics go, do some searches. There are a lot of threads about this over at cpf (Link).

IMO, for these, 150mW+ green lasers, the IMR should be used. If you use an ICR you might not be getting all the power you can, and/or you might be damaging the battery.

I have a few of Yob's 16340 IMRs and they can pump quite a bit of juice. My crap multimeter showed them at 5.2A@4.20V fresh off the charger after resting for two hours.

*is hoping his laser is in the second shipment batch*

Hey offroad, is that tracking number you sent me for both of my lasers or just one? (and if just one, which one?)
