How about the 520nm? Much different than a 532? If you've had one. I saw pictures but I don't know if they do it justice.

The color of the 520nm and 532nm lasers are different. Especially when you put them side by side. Both are green colors but different hue.
You have seen the pictures so take your conclusion from them.

Both lasers have an output of 50mW.

Haven't had one of those, but I do know that it's a difference that is very noticeable. Even in pictures it's noticeable, and I have also heard that pictures don't tell the whole story in that situation.

Well we do have a goal we would like to reach. Discounts come in quantities with laserbtb. Last gb was a bit too small so i hope one is bigger again. I will resond to your pm asap at work right now!

I find the difference very big when you comare them next to each other. Good pic blord! :beer:

A 10nm color difference around 450nm is very noticeable to me and everyone I asked, even "regular people" - they all say the lower wavelength "has a lot of purple". My Dominator's beam looks a lot bluer than my C6, even with an ND2 filer to compensate for some of the Dominator's bigger power. I measured with a "wall spectrometer" and got the C6 somewhat below 445nm and the dominator around 454nm.

TBH beamwise the difference is a lot more noticeable than 650nm vs 638nm or even 532nm vs 520nm (although the dot color difference is far *less* noticeable - both dots look blue-whiteish when focused).

OTOH I'm not sure this laser *will* be a higher wavelength.

I can vouch for that! I have had m-140's that visually looked purple and clear blue next to each other. I guess that it is luck of the draw what actual wavelengts your diodes are.

I did compare it to a very high power 445. My M140 I just installed is much more violet. I stand corrected.

Does your kryton not have the 9mm lens in it? 2.6W for an 5.6mm m140 is very efficient!

Groove has a 5.6mm M140 :) Idl how Dave did it :thinking: I had to double check that it had a 3 element in it and not some G2/9mm lens on accident. I havent had time to put my G2 on it and see if it hits 3W but from taking the lens apart it looks like the 3 element :D :D :D :D

I can't commit to anything yet, but am interested in a HL520 and maybe a HL450 too. If we can get up to 10 units of the 520, will we get a larger discount?
