After seeing those pics I'm pretty excited, Im not too upset that mine hasn't shipped yet considering I was probably the absolute last person to put there order in.:angel:

I was the 11th order, but haven't received either round of tracking numbers, so at this point I think the #'s are being distributed randomly, rather than in the order they were ordered. So, if that's even correct, you never know. :beer:

I'm keeping myself distracted from when the laser is gonna get here, by collecting supplies, and setting up things around the house, for when it does arrive. Such as packs of matches, balloons, flash paper, mirrors, etc. :evil:

Mine arrived and PROPS to DHL. I was on the way home from the doctors and the driver called. "hey I'm here and no one is at the office. You near home?" after talking for a bit he offers to meet me on my way home. Meets me at a grocery store and was like "This is something UPS doesnt do".......HECK YES DHL is the best! Woot woot, anyways, tired from the doctors so photos to come tonight.

Idk what you were there for, but as always, wishing you a speedy recovery! :beer:

Edit: Nice little review on it. It's a little odd that they took out the remote plug feature. But, it's just one thing less for me to keep track of.

Maybe effects caps are being added as a last-minute extra gift? That'd be awesome, as I don't have many cool accessories such as diffraction gratings. :beer:

I apologize for the double-post, but does anyone know the recommended duty cycles on these? I was looking for information on the laserbtb website, but could only find warm-up time, and temperatures.

I forget for sure but I thought the website used to say 2 minutes on the HL and 5 minutes on the PL :thinking: Robin want to chime in on this one?

Just had a terrible idea.

With my family not knowing anything about lasers, I made it a point to show them "Xeno" (I think his name is), and show them what happened to his eye. Now everyone in the house is terrified of lasers and what they can do. They've all been coming up with hilarious scenarios like "I bet it can melt someones hand!", and things of that nature. So, wouldn't it be a great idea if I told them "My friend's laser, which is only half the power of the one I'm ordering, did THIS to his neck." - Oh man. They'll never even poke my laser. :crackup:

With the fear, they will respect the laser more. People need to respect lasers like they do guns. Give it time and the shock will wear off

Yeah the shock wore off for me and I got hit in the left eye with my e2 this was about a month ago , and it's gotten much less uncomfortable, but I have a nice cloud in the center of my left eye.

Wow. Scrolling through your signature, you have your E2 listed as outputting over 1500mW. I'm glad all you have is a cloud. Seems it could've been a lot worse.

I got very lucky. It was literally a flash past my eye and it still jacked it up. It was being handed off and the momentary switch was pressed by accident. It passed by my eye and I immediately knew I was in trouble. Had to hold back tears because I was sure my eye was done completely

No I kept it to myself. I was pretty embarrassed . This is the first time I've spoken of it in the open forum.

I was showing two people. The first person handed it to the second and bam. Directly in my left eye. It was swollen for the first two days and burned constantly. After it stopped hurting some color started coming back. Everyday it was gettin a little better and my hopes were high, till it just stopped getting better.

If its anything like my arm after surgery then its a long road man. Three weeks to date and it doesn't go higher than 90 degrees.

Indeed kevin and i decided to add the effect caps as surprise :beer: i am glad you are happy with your purchase livinloud! About the duty cycle. At 65mW this this can be on for ages? I allways check if it is getting warm. And if it is not then it is not the end of the duty cycle but you might want to be more conservative then me

Also holy crap Tmack! That is horrible! Did you ever visited a doctor? I hope it still gets better let it be a warning to others not wearing goggles! Before i was on the forums i had a 150mW green from dx which burnes pretty good. I had no idea about tje safety of laser so i kept looking in the dot when burning and almost flashen my eye a few times.

I cant believe how lucky i was back then especially since i have only one good eye to begin with! I only see 30% with my left eye.

Maybe you should still visit a special eye doctor to see if they can help you with your vision! I would go crazy if my good eye was hit!
