Re: FEELER: Projector: ~$60 9mm 445nm diodes

I got a good size one a couple years ago for $13. I can't remember where it was, probably LED Shoppe.
Don't order from them, though. Their support is horrible and half of the junk they sell doesn't work at all.

Am I correct thinking that the free shipping was meant for USA buyers?? shipping 'across the pond ' even a small package is NoT cheap - and sending the cheapest of ways can end badly.-- so express is better-- my friend sent 24 a-1140 kasios to china- used the cheap 25$ way and they were never seen again.. ouch!

Oops! That's something to keep in mind thanks for the heads up hak. I believe it's particularly because of china, their postal system is so eff'ed up for their own locals but they give free shipping to the entire planet. That's pretty generous of them lol.

Yes, I forgot to edit about the shipping and was going to change it for a different post afterward if there was enough interest. Thanks for the reminder

Re: FEELER: Projector: ~$60 9mm 445nm diodes

he road to a successful GB is paved with obsticles- I have seen many that dont plan for all possible situations and once you have set a price its not easy to ask for more- IF a host gets orders for 9 widgets and buys the 10th for himself WHO get the 'bad' one if that happens== the host of course-if one fails for whatever reason who pays for replacement-- doides are especailly delicate and if you find one seller at ebay etc that offers a diode warranty I will show you 50 who do not- risks are there- and all who go for a GB need to know they share in all these risks- what happens if the projector never arrives?? ouch! -- stuff happens-- GBs are NOT for all be it buyer or host--read ALL the stickies BEFORE even considering a GB--Dave tells it like it is-- both what GBs are and what they ARE NOT. Each time I finish one without a hitch I tell myself that was the last..not wanting to push my luck-- I lose sleep between the sending of the $$ and until the last item is delivered- hopefully the LK GB will end in the next few days -- I pick both who i buy from and who I allow to join my GBs with care- just wanting to join is NOT enough-- I have many repeat offenders-nobody does another GB if the first one was a poorly ran. Some wash thier hands and walk away- i dont roll like that- I dont care where you got your JETLASERS laser-- I am part of the support forever Gray is my China partner-- Linna is alot like Gray -- IMHO I think I am a 'better' person because of them and how they treat the forums.. 12 GBs- should I risk a #13?? --

Are you sure that these are the good G9 lenses? I have a rack of 24 bad ones from a projector I harvested way back when.

If you can confirm that these are the good lenses, not the bad ones, then I'll buy that diode. Otherwise, it's a 9mm lens, yes, but a crappy one.

What kind of projector are your diodes from? BenQ? Ca$io?

I took apart an Optoma ZX210ST.

The BenQ has the good lenses, the Optomas and Ca$i0's have the crappy ones.

Please edit your post to say C4s1o, or Ca$i0. Something other than the real name. They sent the forums a cease and desist order a couple years ago asking us to stop using their name and advertising their diodes.

Best that we don't aggravate them more.

Oh yeah, sorry about that, read about that a while back and completely forgot. The diodes I'm selling are from the BenQ, so they should have the good lenses. Let me know

I'm surprised there's no autofilter for k@$$io here from that incident.

Re: FEELER: Projector: ~$60 9mm 445nm diodes

Wouldn't see ot being any more than an extra $10 if it were to happen. At this point I don't think there is enough interest to warrant an entire projector, though.

Do you say you couldn't buy the projector and cancel your GB?

Re: FEELER: Projector: ~$60 9mm 445nm diodes

This is just a feeler to see how much interest there is in one, I am still up to do it, and if you look at my other thread in Buy/Sell/Trade you will see that impatience got the best of me and split a projector with another member (don't want to say who because I dont know what kind of surprise he may have with the ones he has).
