I thought the same thing. Expected locking tailcaps and everything on their site indicates this is how they come. Wanted some units that I could feel better about taking out of the house. Nowhere on the site do they indicate that they are optional or extra cost as far as I can see. Instead, this feature is "featured". Why would anyone expect anything different?:scowl: Shouldn't have to pay for them. I don't see where anyone got them on their pens. Only thing I can come up with is that they are only included on the FDA ones but why would you need it on a 5mw unit? It's not like the hl and pl that aren't FDA don't have them...
Just looked again at every lp on their site and they all show a picture with them on the units and a breakdown diagram with them. All the manuals show this also. Didn't get it with a pen I have and at this point don't expect the lp532 or the OSRAM I am waiting on will have them either. I'm sure Offroad can get us an answer.

My IR filters are also tiny. Did you happen to get them from O-Like? Didn't expect them to be THAT small:p

No picked up a few of them from Radiant a long, long while back.

Never did come up with a very good way to get them in place temporarily.

If anyone knows where I can get a larger IR filter, like 3cm by 3cm, or something similar, I would be interested... would make life a bit easier.

(I know they are out there, I'm just being lazy about it :p)

Tracking from HK and China can be a hit or miss ordeal sometimes. I was shorted 9 labby driver wiring harnesses from an order on November 16th of 2012. The missing harnesses were finally sent via registered post on January 29th 2013. It's been 8 days now since the last update was made from HK indicating that it had left for the US. There's been no updates since. It only took about 5 days each for the last half dozen or so shipments from there to arrive at a processing center in the US. Registered mail travels slower than the less costly alternatives? I guess it's possible that it never actually left and is still sitting there waiting for the chinese new year to be over. I had hoped that it was actually in transit.

Understand the shipping frustration guys.
Have a unit from Sky that shows "Wednesday, February 06, 2013 Location Time
1 Shipment information received HONG KONG - HONG KONG 10:47"
On the Sky site it says
Order Status

Shipped
FedEx (www.fedex.com)or DHL
NumberDhl 943944####
Tracking number

Email from them on Wed 2/6/2013 7:05 PM
Dear buyer, the products that you bought from laserbtb.com,now is delivered, tracking number,FedEx (www.fedex.com)or DHL Dhl 943944####

Thanks,
laserbtb team

Hasn't shown anything other than DHL got the shipment notification. I've had things shipped from China that seem to go nowhere and then after a couple weeks the status shows it hit the states but that was always snail mail. Never had anything shipped DHL or Fedex take more than a couple days to show movement. Still within the time frame today though where it might not show anything. If it doesn't move by tomorrow morning I will ask Offroad to contact Kevin about it. Didn't pay $32.97 shipping for a small box with one hl to just sit.
Hoping for the best....

Service Alert: Chinese New Year 2013
From February 9th to February 15th, 2013, Chinese New Year will be celebrated throughout many parts of Asia. During these festivities, many factories and businesses will close to allow for celebration of the New Year and coming Spring. Customs offices in these countries will also limit their hours of operation.

The countries celebrating Chinese New Year and their respective holiday periods are as follows:
China Mainland Feb. 9th – Feb. 15th
Hong Kong Feb. 11th – Feb. 13th
DHL Express has been proactively preparing its network for the increase in pre-holiday volumes as well as for the volume surges that may occur after the holidays.
We recommend that customers shipping to countries that celebrate Chinese New Year plan ahead and schedule their shipments carefully around this holiday. Limited pick-up and delivery services will be available in the countries referenced above during the Chinese New Year holiday.
The DHL Express International Service Guarantee does not apply for late shipment delivery due to causes beyond the control of DHL.

From fedex site
January 17, 2013
Chinese New Year Celebration begins February 10, 2013
Chinese New Year, widely celebrated throughout Asia, is fast approaching. Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year as it is also known, begins on February 10, 2013 this year and continues through February 24, 2013.
The Chinese New Year 2013 celebration begins the year of the snake.
Chinese New Year festivities are a huge celebration in China. Many factories and businesses will shut down for at least a week and could last as long as 15 days. Countries such as Japan, Korea and Vietnam may also feel the impact of this holiday.
Chinese New Year Holiday schedule for FedEx Trade Networks Asia offices:
Hong Kong Sunday, February 10, 2013–Wednesday, February 13, 2013 (4 days)
China
Saturday, February 9, 2013– Friday, February 15, 2013 (7 days)
Traffic is often very congested just before the holiday. Shippers with freight inbound to China should plan ahead and schedule their shipments carefully around this holiday. Filling containers and preparing customs declaration documents well in advance of the holiday are advisable steps to take.

In China and its mainland ports, the celebrations are also expected to affect port operations in terms of loading, barging schedule and possibly product availability.

During the holiday, FedEx Trade Networks offices in Asia will have staff on duty so urgent customer issues can be addressed.

The new years party is not over just yet- ordering earlier or after the new year in china is over may have helped you guys- the big holiday is in Oct. IIRC this is the second longest.
But once order leave HK rthe holiday should not matter-

welcome to the not-so-fun world of hosting GBs- now you see why I am turning them down.

ANCHORAGE, AK is the first stopping place on U.S. soil. As such, that is likely where the U.S. Custom's inspection takes place. Your log looks very ominous. It does appear the package is returning to GUANGZHOU CN :yabbmad:

If so, we can only speculate as to why, unless FedEx can offer more information. If it *is* going back, it is likely a Custom's rejection.

The LP532nm-150mW did not come with locking tail-cap.

Neither did mine. Originally the picture on the website hinted that it had a locking cap (there were keys in the picture) but now the picture has been changed to no keys in the picture.

I'm not really disappointed but it would have been nice. This purchase was to help me identify the different strengths available and how strong I want to go. I'll probably sell this later when I get a stronger keyed version. So it's still a win-win for me. It seems strong, but I can't comment as to power, under or over, as my lpm hasn't arrived yet.

I'll report back when the lpm gets here.

Fedex's site was kinda buggy for my second delivery. If it says its suppose to be delivered today and doesn't look like its close then its probably delayed.

Very strange movement but this is how it shows up now. At least it is (hopefully) in the states. Find it hard to believe it's going to get to me today. I'll take the "not sent back" though.
My DHL still shows nothing except the same "shipment information received":(

Hey guys! Got my own lasers in today! A PL532-500mW and a Pen532-150mW. And no i did not get them for free also not a big discount, paid the same as you guys. I did get a free pair of eagle glasses and a 20mW 650 fiber test pointer  nice :)

Any just metered them Usual trend not very stable overspec though. I don't have an IR filter at hand. I have two sets of goggles which block blue green AND IR. So that is useless. I think your respons time of your lpms are playing a huge factor when it come to being underspec. Sometime the pen laser fluctuates between 150-200mW witin a second. No way a normal laserbee of bluefan basic lpm registers that. Here are the video's:

(happy with 841mW Peak :) :))

Also i got some extra aperature stickers for those whom ruined their own. @SM i know you want these i will send a few your way. Let me know when someone needs these

Nice pictures. They have sent you the wrong PL532, it must be the 700mW version you got. :)

Yeah i know :( but the PL532 high (600)(700) end takes a lot of time in manufacturing :( the gb would even be more delayed then now. But looking at it now maybe it was better to take more time anyway.. They are still available through their normal site though.

Greetings,,
