Haven't been impressed seeing so many issues others are also having. Don't want to hear my order can't be found or something similar. Allready had to deal with a few other frustrating issues with my first batch:tsk:

So far my PL-473nm 30mw has lived up to my expectations. A beautiful tight blue beam! The case was in perfect shape and it came with the deadman key and circuit plug, and a set of keys for the laser, and for the case. This is my second PL case from Sky Lasers so I reconfigured the foam from the two cases and now can fit two PL lasers and my Dragonlasers 532 nm 100mw Hulk in the case, plus the keys and plugs. The other case now hold all of my battery chargers. As of now I do not have a LPM so I do not know how it rates as to on spec, but I am so looking foward to using it this weekend to photograph, especially in conjunction with my 589nm and 593.5nm. Should get some nice results (I hope)

I've also done something similar but instead i took the two pieces of foam with the pyramid shapes and put those into one case and was able to put both my PL lasers and My HL460 in it. I plan on getting some more foam and using the other case for my LPM and probably some chargers or something.

I spent a lot more time reading about, testing, and using the 445 single mode last night.

It is certainly single more, and the expansion along both axis is nothing compared to the 1W+ 445 diodes.

Up close though, at 3-6 feet, the dot shape is very, very similar imo. The difference only becomes apparent at 10 feet+. At 20ft+ the difference is obvious.

The laser is a bit underpowered. It's consistent at 85-95mW which is on the low side, but within reason.

About the LEDes turning green. Including the 8 from this GB, I've handled 11 HL lasers. On nine of them the LED did/does glow green when the laser is armed. Based on this, IMO having the LED glow green to me seems like the rule, not the exception.

My main concern for the lasers received in this batch, is that the 650 is underspec, the HL532 300mW is underspec, and I got kind of the wrong gift. I mean it's a great gift, but not at all what I wanted or expected.

I get the sense that maybe with the rush to get all the orders out the door before CNY, quality control was not anywhere near the same level as during the last group buy.

I realize my personal expectations were maybe a bit too high, given the prices, but after having filet mignon last, it's kind of unpleasant to go back to chuck steak.

I've got too much time today to ponder where my second batch is now that I'm back home with my wife. I suppose I could mess with some more pen lasers but I won't be able to stop looking for an update for my order:banghead:
I would rather have fedex show up today now that I'm home and it just be a number screwup than anything else. Not very hopeful at this point seeing how things have gone so far for everyone.

what is the name on it? hopefully not another members name.

My first batch, via DHL has incorrect/incomplete information, as given online and via a call to them.

When I did receive the order, the information was exactly as given to Kevin/Offroad, and correct. Maybe Fedex system is just flagging the address because it is unusual?

Hope you get what you ordered, and are happy with it.

Infin. I took a look at my hl's and the only one out of an hl405m 532 and 460/50 that glows green when armed is the 532. They all go red when on. This includes the PL405 except its blindingly blue. It would be nice to have answers to what exactly is supposed to happen if anyone knows.

Does anyone have the lp635 80mw? The manual shows the key switch on the tail cap but mine came with a regular cap. I thought all of the lp were supposed to come with the key switch? Thinking maybe it's only for the FDA compliant ones....

No, for some reason the first batch of orders was shipped out via DHL. It was probably done based on price.

It wasn't a problem for me, but a couple of members did end up having to pay more, because DHL has a tendency to basically hold packages for ransom in europe.

Actually for me, the DHL shipment was much faster then the Fedex one.

I got the wrong gift I got flash 635nm and I should have gotten 532nm :undecided:

1W PL650 -- 1164mW
150mW LP532 -- 158mW
120mW LP635 -- 101mW
20mW LP635 -- 24mW


All overspec besides 120mW LP635, so I'm happy but I would like the correct gift please

@ Pman kevin is requesting the correct FEDEX number as we speak

@ IE you get the same procedure as kadath for your underspec lasers. Which is also nice because you can get 20% back

@ everybody. I discussed the next GB with kevin. NExt GB orders will be sent out way slower with higher QC that pays attention to degrading, lower QC was a contradiction of shipping everything this fast. Both me and kevin and i think everybody would like it better to wait longer and have less complaints. Like the gifts that went wrong etc.
