I'll probably make separate reviews for all three of mine 650nm, 450nm and the 520nm. Gotta compete with blord's and smeerworst's quality reviews with the 520nm, challenge issued :tinfoil:
I'm off to get some sleep now

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

Well i did :) i could not send more then 200. So i made one 200$ donation, one 100$ donation and one 22$ donation. Mmm i dont get it.. I want to see that bar go through the roof with this donation lol.

Every time I donate to LPF, it seems to take a day or two for the bar to update, so I'm sure it'll be on there tomorrow with the green bar extending off the page!

ordered me some new battery's hopefully they will be here around the same time as my lasers. if anyone's looking for a good price on panasonic 18650's check out Fasttech. also there is a code you can use to save 5% (LAUNCH).

My IMR 16340 batteries showed up yesterday. I can't wait to try them out with my new lasers from the groubuy!

I bet my tracking number is going to wear out, as I'm going to be checking it so often.

I'm going to be watching this thread like a hawk... Thanks for the GB offroad, +rep :D

Also, if smeerworst is watching this thread, I'd like to know the actual output of your 1W 650nm. Is it right on the 1W mark?

I allready did a LPM video a while ago :)

With a full cell yes, i see the 1W mark :D

Cheers.

I ordered four EH ones (that's all they say on the label). I have pictures of them in my 405nm review thread (they might be a little blurry to see, though, and I can post some better ones if you'd like). I now have six of them, and I paid $27 in total at $4.50 a piece. Oh, and I also have a couple 18650 IMRs of the same type (and they almost never lose their charge).

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

I've ordered 18650b's from Larry also. His cells are legit. Have seen alot of talk of "fake" cells out of China on those. You will likely not get a notice from him that they have been shipped but mine came fast and if you ask him he'll tell you the day he shipped them.
Lighthound is out of stock on the AW IMR 16340 right now.
Anyone know how the AW IMR 18650 stacks up against the Pan 18650b cells?
No update on the donations yet.
By the way, if anyone is having to purchase glasses for their reds, the ones that I got from DL are actually too good. I can't see a thing even with my Blord "steel" build 638 >1w. Nice that they work so well but what's the point if I can't even see a dot. Had to order from somewhere else but they haven't arrived yet.
Also, the "dummy" 16340 cells from Lighthound are expensive compared to the ones from Battery junction as the Junction ones are hollow (like the weight of the Lighthound ones personally). Made my own 10440 dummy cells as I haven't found any online yet.
It looks like the Ebay seller that I had gotten WAY overspec (>100mw) 3 color pack pens (405m 532,650) super cheap has been booted/banned now.

Whew! I'm glad I ordered my AW IMR 16340 bats from LightHound when I did, I ordered 4 about two weeks ago and rec'd them 5 or 6 days later! I ordered a couple of 3.7v cr2's at the same time. They also sent me a nifty little keychain led light with their logo on it. So far, the EH batteries that came with my Yobresal "Blue Ice" seem to perform about the same as the AW's. Anyone else know differently?

Nope the EH batteries from yob seem to do exactly as well as my AW's.

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

Good to hear about Fasttech. Sounds like I can add them to my "good" list then.
Have 9 of the AW IMR 16340's and 6 of the pan 18650b so I'm good to go.
Wish they made AW IMR 10440:( Don't really have any idea who makes the best ones.

Was wondering what happens if all of a sudden (these things happen as we've seen multiple times during the GB) Kevin can't get something or the specs change now that the order is in? Did anything like that happen during the last GB?

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

The list was made up to basically keep it only to the lasers that they have in stock, or can make very quickly.

I don't think the specs will change... for the most part they are well known, and no surprises to be expected.

If lasers don't arrive, or come in underspec, the laser will need to be metered to show that it's underspec, and Kevin will send a replacement.

Last GB there was one laser that did get lost in transit, and three came in a bit underspec, only one very underspec. The missing, and underspec lasers were replaced. I'm not sure what happened to the other two. Not even 100% sure about the other two.

If for whatever reason you suspect your laser is underspec, for those in the US, send it over and I'll LPM it. For those in EU, I suggest you send it to Offroad, or another European member.

I don't think it will be a problem.

Also do bear in mind, please, while I'm 100% confident that Kevin will do his utmost to send everyone overspec laser, that does not guarantee that it will be overspec, only that it will be on spec. Generally on spec means within +/- 10% of the stated output. I wouldn't worry about this though.

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

The people @ EH seem to be very customer oriented as well - I placed an order for some batteries from them about two weeks ago, and they sent me this response:

Glad to received your order.
If you only order 3 pairs batteries the shipping cost isn't very cost-effective.
You can also buy these battery to Madvapes LLC - E Cigarettes, Electronic Cigarettes, Vaping Supplies and they are our Distributor in USA.
If not I will make a PI ( with shipping cost ) to you check.
Just let me know if you have any questions I will be happy to help you.
Thanks and happy new year!!
Eileen

many lesser companies would have just filled the order and taken my money instead of looking out for me? In my opinion they should get a +rep for this action!

Re: CLOSED! Taking payments. ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

I think the main Concern for underspec lasers would be the 532nm because there so sensitive. Mine metered around 150-175 and got replaced.
