Re: ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

Could you put me down for (1)

_______________________pen532- 150mW 60$

& can I add the IR filter to it?

I prefer the pen NOT to be white, but if it turns out to be white, that's ok.

I understand the part about pp gift due to the tiny amount of my posts. Just let me know when & where to send payment.

I've heard pros & cons to the IR filter, and I probably won't be able to tell if it's in there.....but I'd like it there if possible.

thanks

I dont know if it is available in this type of pen but i will put it in your note :) you will receive payment info in two days.

I'd put money on what B says.... well that is if I had any:whistle:

Lol i took it all :na:

No, it is not. I never heard of a 460nm laser before. The manufacturer use an Osram PL450 diode for the laser. It has wavelength of 450nm which is almost the same as the 445nm diode.

Thanks Blord. I almost just impulsively bought that one. I had to ask because of the 520nm throwing everything off. Maybe that should be corrected in the OP?

I know it is not 460nm. But laserbtb product name is 460 i just copy the product name which makes it easier for me. I also think laserbtb should change this it is that we hobbyists know this. Any other unknown customer with a spectro meter thingie will come out dissapointed.

Web link for the pens shows IR filter - I too would prefer to have this option, if it's not already included. Please.

Added the note to both of the order :) take note that laser will have a less output. But that speaks for itself :p

It does cost $1.57 for the white paint or the ir filter additions according to their site unless kevin was giving those for free....
If anything, Offroad should be getting at least a few extra $ for the group donation to these forums;)

Yes i love the 473nm too. But i find them very expensive at laserbtb i believe lasever is way cheaper for more mW. :) correct me if i am wrong :)

Yeah, all you can get is modules form lasever. Im lookin for the whole package.
Unless im lookin in the wrong place. What would kevin be willing to charge for the 10 and 20mW versions? if its ~300, then im in on a 10 or 20mW.
Pm me if you need to :)

Re: ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

So there's this guy who always wanted to an astronaut. He would bug NASA day after day "Come on, I can be an astronaut!" but he wasn't too smart so NASA wanted nothing to do with him.
This was the guys lifelong dream so he wouldn't give up and continued bugging them for years until finally NASA got sick of the guy and said, "Fine, you can be an astronaut."
He starts his training and one day comes home all giddy and happy, walks in the door and his wife says, "What's going on, did they give you a mission"? and the guy says, "Yeah yeah, they gave me a mission!"
She says, "So where are you gonna go?"
"I'm gonna go to the sun!"
Shocked, she says "You can't go to the sun!"
To which he replies "Well, I'm gonna go at night!"

Morning all:D ..... it's morning here anyways:na:
Oh and put me down for one "cat drag"

Is it just me or is the violet/purple in our sigs harder to see/read?

I took a look at the 473nm in Blords sig and it's really easy to see the difference in nm from his pics.
He mentions that he never saw the 130 peak because maybe his LPM isn't fast enough.
What I've done when I get a new unit is take another laser and pre-ramp up the reading to around where the new one is supposed to get to to try and catch the initial reading better. I do multiple times to try to verify the readings and can duplicate them. I've got some that peak quick and one particular pen that takes about a minute to slowly reach peak (532nm Lazerpoint pen TQP041 142mw). I think I need to retest that one as I may have done it too soon after retrieving it from the mailbox at <30F. My understanding is that 532's are particularly sensitive to cold temps... could be wrong. Need to research.

My LPM doesn't graph but appears to be accurate comparing the readings by what the members tested at before sending to me.

Re: ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!

I can make comments regarding lasever since I'm dealing with their stuff a fourth time this week. They only sell labbies and modules, however if you're willing to spend ~$550 you can easily get 100+mW in a handheld.

Offroad

count me in for:
- 150mW 532nM website price $75.36 Offroads GB price $60 HERE
- HL405- 500mW website price $157.00 Offroads GB price $115 HERE
a extra gift for 100+ USD orders:a flash red pointer 635nm-20mW
-------------------------------------------------------------------
$175 + (1.5kg shipping $30) = $205 total Correct?

Thanks!

Yes, I'm aware that there is a charge for the ir filter. I fully expect to pay for it. He listed a 150mW 532 pen & a 150mW 532 pen white. I was just asking for the non white one that was at the bottom of his list. But stated that it was ok if it turned out to be white afterall.

And I'm aware of the less output with an ir filter, but still want it.

cheers.
