You can request a Paypal invoice and pay via CC. That's what I do since I don't want a Paypal account.

When using CC the PP fee is a little bit higher if I remember correctly.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

It appears shipping inside the US is going to be about $16. This includes delivery confirmation as well as insurance on the glasses. Does anyone have any objections to that?

Shipping inside the US is $16? That isn´t possible...
The cheapest shipping method to Austria (Europe) of these goggles may not be more than $7-8

Flat rate for Priority Mediuim Flat Rate box is $10.70. The insurance and signature confirmation is the remaining price. I believe shipping to international isn't insured. I would assume everyone in the US would want insurance and delivery confirmaiton, but if not, we can look into something else. As far as the international shipping cost, I'll have to check with Dave.

EDIT:
Here's what Daguin has told me about shipping...
I have no problem with 1st class W/ delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation, domestically, is less than $1. Delivery confirmation is not available with 1st class international parcels

Figuring a box the size listed above with a 1 pound total weight:
A domestic parcel W/ delivery confirmation will be $6.
International parcels will be $11

So, I need to know which way you guys would like to go.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

IMNHO There is no reason to go with priority shipping with these. 1st class parcel is fine

If someone WANTS to pay an extra $10 to get them a few days sooner, fine, but most won't care about a few more days.

Peace,

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

$16 seems kind of high. Won't the glasses fit in the small flat rate box? ($4.95)
Then, $75 insurance and delivery confirmatino only add $2.95

Total: $7.90 with small priority flat-rate box, insurance, and delivery confirmation.
Or just ship first class... why pay more for priority?

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

How do you get $16? Even if you use a large Flat Rate Priority Mail box it's only $14.50 shipped.

Can you please elaborate on this? From the numbers it seems like you're trying to buy an additional three (3) pairs to get the free shipping ($32) and the extra discount (+5%). Buying another three pairs would be, let's average, $70, which would make it about ($70 x 3 + (23 people x $6 shipping)) / 23 ~ $15.

Whatever the reasoning, with this shipping price, the GB savings versus going it alone with the LPF discount (7.5%) + $8.60 individual shipping is within the range of $3.81 (5% total) for the cheapest (AL3 @ $74.80), and $15 (10%) if you get an ML7 ($149.60).

While it is still better to go through this GB, I'm worried that the weak savings are probably not going to keep people who are "on the fence."

Assuming you have a box, you can send packages for < $3 each via first class or media mail. Insurance is probably unnecessary, but is only $1.75 up to $50 and $2.25 up to $100. Maybe just see what Dave is willing to charge for shipping; even with handling fees (i.e. thank you Dave) it should be less than half of your quoted price.
