Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Sorry about that guys, I was away for a few days. I believe I have everything updated. We're at 29 units now... I will update the list tomorrow morning and show a the discounted prices for the various filters. Hopefully a vet comes forward soon willing to take this on. I'd rather not, but I would be willing to give it a go if nobody else comes forward... I completely understand if people aren't comfortable with me doing it yet since I've never done a GB before, and I'm relatively new.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Yes, I too, may want a pair of the OEM goggles, and I may be able to handle some part of the GB if wanted, but the shipping may be a bit much, (time consuming), as I am already so very busy with CNI's and 445nm diodes... So, let me know if I can help with just getting the funds moved through? -Glenn

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Shipping is what I do all day. I have only been a member since last Aug so I doubt anyone will trust me. I use UPS only but its insured for $100 on every package and Shipping from California to NY is only $6.17-$8.45. Plenty of boxes around here to reuse and packing material.

I would like to see this move on if you need my help I am here.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

We have to find out who is going to ship first. Then we can calculate.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

extelon can you ship if Glenn takes care of the $$ part?

Yes, I could ship... however I've never done anything like this before, so if everyone is comfortable with it, I'd like to take moonreft up on his offer.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Here's my suggestion for expediting this:

Send PMs to everyone on the list to confirm 1. interest (lens & style) 2a. whether they're comfortable with Glenn handling $$ and moonreft handling shipping, and 2b. (if not comfortable with either/both) who among those that have offered they would be more comfortable with.

This way if there's someone who has concerns, it isn't publicized or escalated here.

In the meantime, anyone else who is willing to step up can say so here and be considered.

I'm willing to do the PMing and tallying since this is my idea, though I will be camping this weekend and unable to reply or tally anything until Monday night. Then again, this will allow the PMs time to roll in, and it's 4th of July weekend so I doubt any order we place before Friday will be worked on until Tuesday.

I'd offer to step up in other ways, but I'm WAY newer compared to anyone here who has said so and I am often busy on weekends and during the week. Not really a good combination. :p

Edit: General location for shipping can be included under #1 and maybe also "HOW interested?" (not anymore/a little/likely/definitely). After this info is confirmed then we can start figuring out more exact prices, getting committments, collecting full addresses/$/etc....

@extelon, Once you have the confirmed list of filters and frames send the list to me. You have my email address. We will return a formal sales order with everything listed for your verification. Then we can forward an invoice for the total amount due once you verify everything is correct. I say once you forward the confirmed list, the group buy should be locked out to avoid any confusion with change orders.

Oh also include the shipping address for whoever we are to send these to and contact info.

We are getting closer to this getting the ball rolling. As a side note, I could also do the shipping.

I'm in Missouri, closer to the STL area.

I will be offline Saturday through Monday. So if you need my payment just send me a total before Saturday and I'll pay. Keep in mind my address will not be the same as the Paypal because it has not been changed yet.

There is a bit of confusion over the discount... As I understood it the 7.5% discount code was to help us out in case we were not able to meet the 25 unit mark... And using that promo code there would be a shipping charge. The 20% discount for 25+ units included free shipping to the GB organizer. Am I correct in what I thought the 7.5% code vs. the 20% for 25 unit options were... or is the 7.5% code replacing the original 20% deal completely?

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

I will be sending PMs out confirming filter, style, and requesting shipping locations early tomorrow... I am on my iPhone and doing all of that on this thing would be a nightmare. If anyone wants to beat me to the punch, send me a PM and confirm what you'd like and where you are... Also let me know if you are definately in, on the fence, or no longer interested.

Thanks, everyone I don't hear from I will send a PM to.

From the way I read through the thread and Tony's reply a few posts after my question about this, this is what I'm fairly certain of:

11-24 = total 17.5% discount (7.5% coupon and 10% quantity discount) but NO free shipping.

26+ = total 22.5% discount (7.5% coupon and 15% quantity discount) PLUS free shipping to the organizer.

Is this correct? or was I wrong about there being a 22.5% PLUS free shipping option (meaning it's either 25+ = 20% PLUS free shipping *or* 26+ = 22.5% NO free shipping)?

I think the confusion is because of the original 20% PLUS free shipping that was offered for 25+ that got the thread started and still not clear on where 25 orders will get us with the current deal.

If the above is correct, is exactly 25 orders a category all its own in the middle (20% PLUS free shipping) or does it fall in one of the ranges above (17.5% NO free shipping *or* 22.5% PLUS free shipping)?

:anyone: (but mainly Tony) :thanks:

My bad! Sorry for the confusion everyone.... I missed this post from FC.

Because we added the 7.5% discount to help if you couldn't get 25 pair, the percentage does indeed work out to a 22.5% discount if you order 26 or more plus free shipping to whomever is the organizer.
