"CLOSED.!!!" GB: For The New 3.8mm Red Diodes 660nm (REFUNDING.!!!!!!)

Re: "CLOSED.!!!" GB: For The New 3.8mm Red Diodes 660nm (Taking Payments for Round 2)

I bought one of these 5-Mode 1000mA 7135 Circuit Board for Cree and SSC Emitters - Free Shipping - DealExtreme to use as a driver & I got JLSE making it case neutral do itll work great :)

I'll be removing one 7135 chip & it should give ~700mA on high mode  it's going to be pretty sick :)

How exactly do these work? Like I couldn't just throw one in any (appropriately sized) host and expect it to work, could I? What I'm trying to say I guess, is will this work in, lets say, a C6 host? With the same clicky button in the back?

I'm not exactly sure about the modes but I know it will work :) I've never tried one so I'll see about the modes, I'll let everyone know how it goes with this driver :D

Ok thanks! If this works well I'll definitely use it. I've always been a fan of "multi-mode" builds.

Yea if it works it would be sick :D

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give you all this Update that i got last night:

We are around 1 week away from the diodes arriving to the Supplier. Then they will ship it to me. Then Once i get them i will package them up and get them out to you all.:)

I already got all my packaging and printed out labels ready to go.:) SO once i get them
GB 1 will be only a couple days after i get them to get them all out.

GB 2 will be really shortly after GB 1. Within the same week i will receive them. SO you guys wont be waiting to much longer after them.

Thanks For all your Patients.

Im also looking in to the same driver C6 host combo. From what I have been able to discern; the driver is (correct me if Im wrong) not continuous on the negative side, but the diode is case negative.

This means you need to isolate the diode electrically from the host (that is unless JLSE does his magic on your diode!) and so I ordered some anodized C6 heat sinks. Im planing to pick up the negative from the host and feed it into the neg input on the driver. I also have to remove one 7135 chip from the board. I ordered 3 x 1050 mA versions in the hopes I might use the spare chips on other builds. This is the one I bought: http://www.kaidomain.com/product/details.S009743

Hope this helps!

Ecactly correct  my heatsink is going to be natural aluminum so I had to get my diode case neutraled :)

If you guys need a better driver, I'm currently working on a buck boost driver that puts the flexdrive to shame...

It can handle 2 li-ion batteries, and handle 2 amps in buck mode, and 1.3 amps in boost, according to the datasheet. I've already designed the board, and have to get them made, and then testing will commence.

Great thanks! :) Just thought Id mention AnthoT and a couple of others have mentioned adding output caps. 22uF was recommended for those interested.

Definitely! When do you think these will be available?

Re: "CLOSED.!!!" GB: For The New 3.8mm Red Diodes 660nm (Taking Payments for Round 2)

The diode is case negative. You can use a linear driver for it.

Jibb or Mohgash driver,
C6_pill.jpg

or a Flexdrive,

This diode is case negative?? I thought it was positive :/

Oh, I forgot to mention; the driver will be common ground as well.

They'll be ready when I get the boards for testing and whatnot. Which may or may not be a while, since I have no money. :(

Yes Guys Its the Same Pin Out as any other Red diode. Case Negative.

If you want to go 1 cell Its Not going to happen without a Flex at the moment.

There are some more drivers out there that iam waiting on a Update on if its Case Continuous. So Ill let you guys know.

Nothing Wrong with Going Linear.:)

In fact If you guys want, I can Wake the Dead and get some Jib77 linear drivers.:scared:

If you guys want they would be 10$ + 3$ shipping.

Ill have them Pre set to the Currant ~760mA.

But in order to get them we probably need to get ~50pcs.

THese Jib77 Drivers where the best.:)

Yup I had looked at those before I went for the AMC 7135. I dont have any of Mohs drivers left and I didnt find any being sold (SL, Cajun, etc) at 700 -750 mA? The flex's are not available, as usual, and Laseerer hasnt yet woken the dead! ;) Had also looked at the blitzbuck too but didnt see any that ran at 700 mA?

Anyway have bought the AMC 7135's now.....

I bought 50 Moh driver. :)
They are somewhere in a postbag.
