WOW! I hate Chinese dealers (or at least the language barrier)

I too, prefer to harvest my own. I would like full sleds.

However, I have already paid postage and "excess postage" of another .25 per unit.

Would I owe an additional .50 per unit or only an additional .25 per unit?

@ pyro: The extra charge for sleds instead of didoes comes out to a total of $6 for 10 sleds, that's 60 cents per sled. I am already covering a lot of costs, and quite frankly, $10.60 instead of $10.00 doesn't seem like THAT bad of a change.

YOU CAN STILL GET INTACT SLEDS FOR A SMALL FEE THAT WILL COVER THE COSTS THAT I HAVE TO PAY THE SUPPLIER FOR SHIPPING.... THE EXTRA COST AVERAGES OUT TO ABOUT 50 CENTS PER SLED


To clear confusion, batch two don't pay, I'm gonna change around the pricing scheme to make it a LOT more simpler once I get a census of who wants sleds and who wants diodes in batch one.

I'll give this another day, then I'll assume whoever hasn't replied in batch one wants diodes I have sent the money to the supplier, and I will just pay him the extra shipping costs for x number of sleds once I see who wants how many. The way things are going I might just change some prices around and make batch two+ sleds only.

So I talked with some Batch one'ers via PM, and it turns out everyone but 2 wanted sleds.


Payments sent to supplier and batch one is underway!


As for batch two, the extra charge from the [1.5 + (#ofsleds-1)*0.5] averages out to about 60-50 cents per sled. For this reason from Batch two on, DIODE = $10, FULLY INTACT SLED WITH ALL OPTICS AND DIDOES = $10.50

This is NOT just aimed at you BP

Folks! I know that there have not been many "actual" Group Buys done lately. Many of the "newer" members do not really understand how they work.

However, this idea that they will just "drop out" is NOT acceptable.

The number of units in the GB is REQUIRED for the GB to go forward. Just dropping out does much more than affect your wallet. It affects the timing of the GB (and so everyone else in the GB). If one "drops out" at the last minute, the GB will have to be held up until the person running the GB can scramble to get those units sold. It may even cause the GB to fail.


Yes, sometimes things happen and a commitment may have to be dropped "for an emergency." However, It appears that people are "planning" on keeping the option open from the beginning. NOT COOL! That is NOT how a GB works. You are making a commitment not just to the guy running the GB, but to every other member of that GB as well

If you make a commitment to a GB here, it is a COMMITMENT! It is NOT a "hey I'll try" statement. If you cannot commit to the GB, you should just buy from a store.

Well, I'm not committing to anything yet, and I feel there seems to be a lot of tension in this GB but, does the full sled for $10.50 or $10.60 or whatever, does that come with the SF blu-ray diode AND the red diode? (the SF sled does come with a red burner diode right?)
