Wait, so is this GB definitely going to happen? I only backed out of a different offer for an a140 diode because I thought this GB was going, and going quickly.

Well, I'm trying to keep the first post updated as much as possible, and it looks as though only 4-5 are definites (meaning, they've been responsive and said they will order). I'll start PMing people to try making it go quicker.

If kikuyoun's falls through and you actually manage to buy one of these projectors I may be interested after you receive it and have the diodes literally within arms reach.

Dude, that is not what a group buy is. If you want to buy one that way, go to e-bay.

Kikuyoun's has pretty much already fallen through. Even so, you would have to pay for the diodes before he ever got them too, thats how a Group buy works.

I think that when people say that they are "interested" in one, they mean that they want to order one. At least that's how I've always interpreted it.

Yeah, if this does manage to go through and then I have more to sell, I probably wouldn't sell it at the same price. The point is, I need people to back me up before I buy one so that I myself don't risk losing $800+. Hence why, I miggght be able to purchase this on my own, but I don't want to risk not being able to sell the diodes. I personally do not want 15 spare diodes for myself, I really only want maybe 4 tops. The point of this GB is to allow people to get the a140 diodes, which currently I don't believe anyone has to offer in the US.

I sent out PMs to those who were interested and I am awaiting responses. If it doesn't come to 10-15 definites within the next two days, I will probably cancel this GB. This is my last summer before college and didn't want to spend all my time trying to just get a GB even started. (Yes, I am going into college - if that makes others nervous somehow about my age, I'd just like to remind people that I have bought and sold on this website plenty of times before, as well as I've made over 20 builds for myself ranging from KES sleds to LOC to 6x sleds.)

Ok payment sent. Come on guys, let's make this happen. If you decide you can't afford it, you ought to be able to sell it for more than you paid on ebay.

I don't think you would have any problem at all selling the extra diodes, especially 140 diodes.

Alright, it looks as though 9 are definite. Literally just a few more and I will start accepting payments and will hopefully purchase this within the next few days (a few people who said definite said they could pay by tues. or the end of the month).

I hate to say it james but it's not looking good. I might just stop the GB now since it is giving me stress. Many of the "2 orderers" backed out, including a "definite" one. I can still hold out for a day or two I guess, but like I said, if its not 10-15 within the next two days, I'm out.

Edit: and of course, I will refund your money in two days if at least 10 buyers don't order

Wow, I really don't know why there wasn't a lot more interest. It was a good deal for a140 diodes.
Damn, I wanted this to work out. Sorry Alexizupinhea. At least you can now enjoy your summer before college without the stress. :beer:
