Cheap 30k gavlos!

Okay i have found a new supplier threw PL of galvos.
I am wanting to buy some nice 30k gavlos. but the price for one set shipped to the USA is 220$
So i did what i normally do. I barter and barter a lower price.
Well this is the lowest i could get them to go.
I can get a 30k set of galvos shipped to my house for 166.0$
If you are US based the cost of re shipping it to you is very cheap around 7 to 10$
The only extra cost you would have to add is the reshipping to your location.
Thats a good amount cheaper.

I have never built a scanner before, but I have decided that I want to.

And with the research that I have done so far, this really is a great price for 30K Galvonometers...in putting my name down for this, I might be asking for some of your advice and help in the future when I build my first scanner...so put me down...

If only I had known about this a week or two earlier as I've already used up more than my budget for my scanner project. :undecided:

I have never heard of this set before... I want to do some more reading on these. Does anyone know of a review done on them?

From what I've read people are pretty pleased with their SpaceLas galvos such as the PT-20k model. Most people have paid about $220 for their PT-30k galvos (the one Kiyoukan is GBing), so this really is a good deal and will save you about $60, or nearly 30% off buying them alone. I just hope we get another 17 or so.

That sounds like a fair deal for a 30K scanner, I just bought a set of DT-40 Pro Wides for that extra width though

How much did those DT-40s cost you?

What would the shipping cost to germany?

(maybe a GB in UK would be better then)

well shipping to anywhere but the us costs more.
As it is it costing around 220$ to ship all of these to the us,
And it going to be hard to find enough people.
I would ask if a reputable member of PL please post something over there. i will do so my self but i dont have much weight or reputation, as i do here.
We need people. i could ship them internationally the only thing i would ask of you is that you pay shipping.
remember that price is shipped to me. it might cost 10$ to ship it to you.

I have a PT-20K set from spacelas, and they work fine. The price is for the entire package, including a power supply and 2 driver boards, the mount, 2 galvo's and 2 spare mirrors (at least, thats what i got).

These scanners work fine, and live up to the advertised speed within reasonable scanning angles.

There are 2 sort-of-cons to consider though:

- the galvo controllers aren't that easy to adjust. There is a guide with the set and its doable, but takes a fair amount of tinkering.

- the galvo control boards produce a lot of heat. The heatsinks on them are adequate, but require some air flow (free convection or a fan).

I'm not sure if the 30K sets has these same issues though.

So, maybe we have around 5 people, including me and kiyoukan, maybe Bionic-Badger, Xer0, and parhaps Meatball... Not stating anyone is commited...Just trying to figure out how interested everyone is cause I really want to get started on my first scanner.

I definately need to do more research though before I can go much further...especially about DAC...

Average price on a set of DT40 Pro Wides is about ~$550 or so.

Yeah... I really didn't think the DT40 would be that much more...

I just hope people realize how great of a deal this is so the list will fill up fast!!!

Kiyoukan, I also wanted to ask if this deal will be until we get the 18-20 people needed for the discount, or if SpaceLas will only allow a certain time for us to fill up the list?
