I would imagine getting the divergence exactly the same would be nearly imposible.

Actually not, if they're both diodes, like in the RB lasers. For example the M140 and NDG7475 have the exact same divergence even though they're completely different diodes. Now, diode and DPSS is a completely different sotry.

I know from experience that the LPCs have great divergence for a diode and I am assuming the NDG4216 515nm diode has similar characteristics. I don't know this from experience, so I may be wrong about that. But, if not, it is only a function or the optics.

I don't think they are using either the LPC or the NDG4216. They are using a 635nm diode and 532nm DPSS. I can ask them for some more details if you'd like.

I'm not interested for myself, but these are the diodes I'd use to do it. They are single mode and inexpensive.
