All you guys arguing and here I am just excited to see what a RG-Y laser looks like

Thank you. I am too.

Lol... I'll just call it like I see it... Sounds like a huge scam.. Trying to collect everyone's money.

A good used one would cost at least $2000.00, so this is a cheap laser by far. A good used one would have an infinite duty cycle and a TEM00 too. It would be far more stable as well.

What's a 7.3 watt 450nm go for? How much $$

You're missing the point. You're missing a lot of points.
532nm is not as easy to create as 450nm. There are no 532nm diodes. The process is a lot more precise than "attach diode to driver, place lens in front of diode", and thus a lot more expensive.
532nm is desirable because of (1) beam quality (2) divergence and (3) brightness. None of these qualities are inherent in your 7.3 watt 450nm. Thus, the comparison you are trying to make is entirely apples-to-oranges. 532nm, and greens in general, are more expensive per mW than blues.

I would like to add you shouldn't in any regards expect a beautiful tight beam with 1.5W of DPSS 532nm :yh:

Of course it won't be perfect, but it's still 1.5W of 532nm.

Im very curious to see what those rg and rbs look like. hopefully there will be a bunch of reviews. Im just worried about how well the beams will be combined, especially with the rgs as the green beam will likely have a smaller diameter than the red. But even if this is the case, these pointers are some of the most interesting i've ever seen. A magenta pointer sure would be amazing at night.

Re: FEELER: XPL Lasers (RG:Y, RB:M, high-power 532s, etc)

You mention in your review of the XPL 532nm 500mW that it is a TEM02 laser. That make it either a defective or at best a second quality laser that should have been tossed in the rubbish bin instead of sold.

The web site says TEM00 for the 532nm 500mW.

Why would anyone want or order TEM02 laser? Why buy poor quality lasers that don't function as described? TEM02 make it a non-starter for me unless Mr. Peng will guarantee that any lasers shipped will be a stable TEMOO at full rated output, why buy from him?

I'm pretty excited too, and the thing is even if the beams don't combine perfectly because of the diameters like you mentioned, it'll still be a unique laser and a cool addition to any collection.

Indeed. The rb should be ok though, as from my experience red and blue lasers have similar beam diameters. It is unarguable that these lasers are unique. Imagine a visible magenta beam outside:drool:

There are single mode reds and greens. They should be capable of a very good alignment. This doesn't mean this company will give you one.

I think a couple forum members purchased the RG lasers before. I believe they said the alignment was good. The main problem was the differing divergence between the red and green. So I suspect the RB lasers will be better than the RG at long distance.
