DDL, I received your regulated laser diode driver. Speedy delivery! :)
I plan to use it to drive the BluRay diodes (after SenKat's burner diode ::))!
Thanks! :)

I hope you all like it... I added an option in there so that I can find out who's who when you make your order. You're basically buying a 'FREE' item which is your LPF ID. :)

Thanx;

It's cool that it's got Red (and IR) in addition to Violet all in the same package. Will it damage the diode to run red and violet at the same time?

I'm planning to wire up both with two pushbuttons, and two regulators.

Payment sent.

Is there any way to up our orders without having to pay for the shipping again? Some people might decide they want more a few days later.

Do let us know what is the current count so we can know roughly when the actual order is going to be made.

Thanks.

*Edit* I guess we must have paid at the same time chimo!

Well, the main problem is you can't collimate both with the same lens, unless you're gunna buy a good achromat for that specific purpose. I don't see why both at once would cause a problem otherwise, as long as the heat dissipation is engineered to handle both at once.

According to Leslie Wright, there are significant differences between the thermal
conductivity of GaN and GaAlAs, so it might lower the life
of one or both diodes.

But someone can always do it and let us know how it turns out.

I think I read some time back on PhotonLexicon that it's not recommended to run both because of heat sinking.  If you try, I'd run them at low power - near threshold.

Hey Guys,

I'm wondering what are the best static precautions to take with these? I live in a pretty humid area of the US, but I will probably be getting only 2 decks and I don't want to zap them. Can anybody reccomend an anti-static mat or kit (mat and wrist strap)?

Daedal - expect my payment later tonight.

Thanks!

That is exactly where the problem is... I doubt they are meant to both be run continuously and simultaneously. :-?
