Not sure if this should go here... but this would be a nice little host for our bluray lasers:

Assuming they run at ~4.5-5V 20-30mA there should be no problem (maybe slight modificaton). I think most white led boost drivers are capable of supplying up to 5V. I read somewhere on LPF that the mini dorcy had an output of 5V with no load (LED).

Too bad I can't get dorcy products here in Australia... Might i'll get one of you guys to buy one for me and ship it out :)

I've got both the 1XAA and the 2XAA versions of these. I tried testing them and found the 2XAA version to be quite useful, but the 1XAA needs a lot of work which I never bothered to look into...

If anyone finds anything, I'd be interested.

Last day indeed, and what the heck. +1 for me on that list. How often do you get a chance to play with violet lasers, after all? :D

Just so that everyone knows... APPARENTLY there is a national holiday in China from the 1st and all the way to the 7th! We NEVER get a week off for the government!! :mad: :mad:

Well... I guess that delays the order even further... Lucky me, I decided on the first 10 days ago! I wish I knew... well... I still have about $500 tied up with Google Checkout and it'll be at least Monday before I get that money out, and that's why I set the order date for the First...

Since everything will now be delayed another week... :mad: :mad: :mad: ... I just wanted to let you all that this is what the deal is so far.

I know that everyone is just as excited and maybe even more about these coming in, I am very sorry to have this happen at the very last minute, but I am honestly unaware of the Chinese vacations that have no warning and last a week!! :-[

Of course -- Everyone knows about THIS holiday week !!!

It's the "National take back a million+ lead based toys and resell them elswhere week" This is a floating holiday which occurs anytime we catch this problem.

Haha, yep, you gotta love those golden weeks. 3 times a year I have to push back my laser buys for a week because of them.
