This host/laser has been discussed here

Some speculated that it is the same host as the arctic and others showed interest in getting these hosts so I contacted the seller.

ANYONE can buy one of these as empty hosts for £38 or about $60 each if you email the seller, but I was thinking if enough people were interested we could get them to come down on the price and help split the shipping charges to the US. We can figure out the details if interest is shown.

They take two cr123 batteries and more information can be found on the ebay sale page.

Here are a few pictures I found. The seller will be sending me more shortly.

I also asked if the text on the laser can be changed or removed but have not heard back yet.

Whose interested?

I wonder if the interior measurements and structure are the same.

If so, I designed a replacement heat sink/module for it that holds an AixiZ module. Jayrob should still have the measurements.

But it uses two cr123 cells that is not very good if you want long duty cycles ! maby they can be reamed out to accept a 18650 cell

What does the real arctic take?

Edit: 18650s I see. Well two cr123s are about the same length so i wouldnt be surprised if its the same host in every way.

The ebay page even references the arctic in several places

There may be a "sleeve" in the barrel or they may just let the batteries rattle around

There is a flashlight that uses the same if not similar host body..
I cant remember where I saw it, either DX or FP, and it was cheaper..

I will see if I can find a link.

I would barter the shit out of him,get him down to $20ea. or less.

anyways, i'd love to build myself a reliable arctic assuming we get him down...

I dont think there is. Ive scanned the flashlights of all those more popular china bargain sites recently and never come across these.

Im asking what is included in that price. It would be much more reasonable if it includes the power indicator circuit, focus ability and lens, power switch, shipping etc.

I know for sure I saw almost identical... I just scanned 67 pages on DX including the 'sold out' items, to no avail.

It may have been focal price, I cant remember for the life of me..

I usually browse a few sites when looking for new hosts. Problem
is, I may have found it on a site that was linked here in the forum
and not a site I usually visit..

One thing is for sure, if one China based seller can get them,
there are other vendors who have them. They may not bare the
same markings / name, but the same body none the less..

I will keep looking, hopefully I can find it again.

For around 30$ I would want one host too.
Unless it came with extras, then a higher price might acceptable.
