Just noticed, I only count 108 lenses and some focus rings.

All lenses have been tested...found two that are factory defects...I'll keep them for my self if Susie doesn't agree to exchange them...! ;)

Yeah, I spent about 20 minutes testing all 11 of my G-2ish lenses and all were fine. Didn't find any loose that needed tightening. Can't imagine how long it took you to test 206 lenses! And now packing for shipment. That's a hell of a lot of work. Thanks, Jim

Wow, that does sound like a lot of work. I couldn't even do anything I liked that many times in a row. Well, at least, not that fast.

Yeah, great, you don't need LPF's business. You have other clients who buy your lenses in huge quantities. Well good for you. Meanwhile, other companies have taken efforts to attract business from this forum, and in the process have done quite well for themselves; businesses like O-like directly got their starts from LPF. We've also seen many new products spring up specifically because forums such as LPF exist as a viable market. Some have even had their products become the "standard" (e.g. "Aixiz" modules). Your G-series lenses have been quite popular, but without backing perhaps they will fall by the wayside in lieu of other lenses like the ones sold in this GB.

In the end, LPF doesn't need a dedicated supplier of products like lenses because we fill in the gaps when they appear. In fact, such market stagnation often hurts LPF. Look at how many drivers have appeared since Dr. Lava stopped selling his drivers? Look at all the power meters that have sprung up as alternatives to professional meters or even Laserbees? We're even finding alternatives to G-series lenses so that we don't have to pay out the nose for such overpriced lenses. Competition is great. We'd be remiss to give exclusive business to a single entity.

Bionic... The lenses are not over priced. They can sell for $80 down to $40. I sell them for $23 to LPF members, and there's not a big margin. Man you sound like some truther or one who faults the 1%, of which I am not a party to. These lenses of this GB are about $12 from what I read. If you say wow, Will sells the G2 for 2X the J2 it looks like I'm scum. I'm not selling them mounted at $40, however. I agree LPF fills in gaps when needed, and my main issues was everone using the name G2. I hope the lens is like those seen on the 9mm diode and they test well- Great. If you need anything, I'll be happy to help anyone here.

About the defects...they are not really defects, they still work but they are missing the notches on the back used for tightening! Only one out of 206 lenses needed sirious tightening, the other 203 where pretty much fine! I just had to make sure they are tight in order to avoid the parts running wild in the package! :beer:

What a funny ad hominem Laser66. A truther and 1%-blamer. Do you even know what those terms mean? A "truther" based on which (9/11) conspiracy I alluded to? Or a 1%-blamer who is praising the merits of a competitive capitalistic market? Right, that makes a whole lot of sense.

Scroll up and reread my response. Show a little reading comprehension. Don't mistaken my response as pushing any form of price entitlement, but rather that I was simply describing the virtues of competition and not giving exclusive sale rights to any particular company. I was also remarking on your dismissal of LPF business.

Yeah, I think your G-series lenses are overpriced, but I'll be the first to say that the price is what the market will bear. That just reinforces the need for seeking out alternatives, which in turn creates a market for sellers to compete. Perhaps if the market here is too small for your attention others will fill that gap in your stead.
