Dear Sir,

We really appreciate for your contact and we would like to be your long term laser diode supplier.

As per your request, we are pleased to submit the following quotation for your reference.

Sanyo DL-3146-151 (405nm @ 7mW 5.6mm) Laser Diode (AVAILABLE IN STOCK)

For 1 pcs ------------ $845.- USD/per unit

The spec sheet on these says 7mW. Out of curiosity, does anybody know how these very expensive diodes compare to the GB blue rays from the PlayStations? I mean, I know people are running the PS3 diodes at around 15mW. What are they rated at?

I got some pricing on some 65mW 405nm diodes. He copied the details of the spec sheet here:
http://www.laser66.com/html/405-N.xls
He won't share the manufacture's spec sheet though. Something about 'their not officially released yet'. Here is his pricing:

"Jay:
sorry it took so long.
Here are some prices.
I'll offere you 2 pcs at the 100 pcs price to get you going.

N brand 65 mW (80 mW max) 405 nm
single item: $699
10's $ 650
100 pcs $499
need to get price at 1K.

I can sell 50 at $ 525"

Tempting to go for his offer to get 2 of these diodes at the 100 pcs. price of $499 ea. I asked if I could get only one at this price to test, because I just lost a lot of money on a mistake I made on a different diode. No reply yet. But, this guy lives local to me. About 30 minutes from my house.

Anybody interested? Maybe a group effort for some testing? I bet we could ask DDL, or drlava, or Hemlock Mike to test these...
