I gave my thoughts--no sense in dragging this 8 month old thread through the mud with more necro-posting answering vague generalities, misunderstanfoings, and mistaken notions about other people's "science" job/work except to say "our understanding"?--there is no absolute "our" understanding--very obviously.

You are so true, we understand only what we can explain with our actual theories. That is why in science, experiments always have the last word and not theories, that are only a snap shot of the knowledge of our area.

I get it--somebody sold you the articles of faith of the "universe" science, a religion of a sort. Good luck with it.

Nobody sold me anything. I just help people that are lacking of a solid foundation in physics to find their way through the huge amount of bullshit that is out there in the internet (like your post and the following link).

It is all true and real in the sense of the "universe" of paychecks for "scientists" from massive funding/spending of public tax money for those in the club who write the papers to get ever more funding $s. It all means maybe with luck lots of new bank teller windows on the money horizon, perhaps.

It's ironic, that you write your these words from your computer (or other device based on semiconductor technology) , distribute this senseless junk through the internet, that was created by your so called "scientists" and possibly not being able to navigate to a point on the map without the mysterious reality of GPS.

No matter what our scientific theories are or say, no matter our human religions teach, reality remains a mystery. It's as simple as that.

Here is one guy doesn't by LIGO it hook line and sinker--is an interesting read:

You can not make new experiments to test the existence of an almighty creature, that is the very basis (no proof what so ever) of every religion. Bit you possible could (if you would have the knowledge, the inspiration and the funding money) test every scientific theory out there.

Is a big IF in many ways for sure.

Good luck with whatever want to do or however you want to see whatever but realize it may be a fine guide around which you might organize your own life, but an awful instrument around which to organize someone else's life.
Believe and believe in whatever you want--your truth is up to you.
Explore, have fun, make money, enjoy life and the universe that is, be well.

Reminds me of the parable:
"If you are looking for the key to the universe, I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is there is no key to the universe.
The good news is that it has been left unlocked."

Good luck with your religion is all I can say.
Believe whatever you want--your truth is yours and your only.
Explore, have fun, make money, enjoy life, be well.

Thanks, I wish you the same and in addition no more posts in the scientific section, since it is all just my religion and not yours. Why are you spend your precious time in this subforum anyway, if your "religion" ( whatever it is) is totally different?

"in addition..." Well, same to you. :tinfoil::crackup:

Spewing testimonial propaganda about the work and ideas of others, distorted/misrepresented or not, is just that--just being a fan of someone else's original but yesterday's news. Requires nothing not even real understanding or comprehension--nothing with nothng is still nothing.

What ever the case may be--good luck with life and in science, or any other area, of having an original/unique thought of your own + being able to effectively communicate it well enough that other people don't tune out in one minute or less. Might happen --who knows?
Contributing something original and meaningful, if you haven't already, is a worthy goal and nice work/job if you can qualify for it and get it.

The "Absurdity" got the Nobel Physics prize LOL

"for decisive contributions to the LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves"

I may have a misunderstanding over your post, my apologies if that is so. You do understand why that particular word was used by the host of the video, yes? If you do there's no need to respond.
