Just saw this posted on another forum:

Laser diodes are really taking off, last years 445nm blue, now this!
It's a shame though that other colors are not keeping up (red) or are not
even available in diode form (green, yellow)...

Let's just hope they put it in some piece of cheap electronics that I can take apart soon:beer:
would be nice if they put it in the 'old' 24 diode array too(i'm sure it will just be one per unit though)

I'd love to see those single mode diodes!

The 4 watt model is probably similar to the c@sio diodes, but perhaps the single mode will provide a beam with similar specs to the red dvd diodes
