There are plenty if ways to creat stimulated emission without the use of a diode. Do some research.

Give us more information about the laser!

IMO it's most likely a ND:YAG or another arc lamp pumped Laser with Q-switch to reach high peak powers, but I need more information.

edit: If you came here from aselmofanzero's yt video with his pulse laser gun this is a q-switched ND:YAG Laser

the price is reasonable he makes everything with his hands and such a laser isn't easy to build

nothing beginners like you should start with it includes high voltage and dangerous ir laser light also the alining ain't an easy task

IMO the fun is also much less than with diode lasers in the visible spectrum

you can run diode lasers in CW mode and not 1 pulse per minute that is too short to see

also you can enjoy some beautiful beams and they are a lot cheaper and easier to build

I wont say that except metall and a few other things a 3.5w 450nm diode laser burns stuff much much faster than this pulse laser

Sorry but if you don't know anything about it, you shouldn't own one. The pulses in those lasers are enough to kill you in a single hit if you touch something you shouldn't.

Ok then, I think I will just get a diode laser from Rick Trent however I would like to learn about lasers where would be a good place to start?

Right here. LPF is chock full of information on lasers... and if this is your first laser, STAY AWAY from anything over 50mW. It's too dangerous, and you could get arrested. If you are interested in laser safety in particular, this website will answer 99.99% of your laser safety questions: Sam's Laser FAQ - Laser Safety

Use the google search bar at the bottom of the page to get started researching info on the Forum. Good luck

Ok I will do some research although in my country we don't really have any laser laws, and can I really burn anything with 50mw?
