What are the best goggles for 445nm blue beams?

I just check out those goggles...so just to double check, they can filter blue and green, correct? Im pretty scared about ruining my eyes i think i might go for these or the eagles.

YLWs will filter 445nm and below (405nm, UV, etc.) but not green. ML7 will filter green (OD2.5), 405nm (OD5+), red (to OD 1.5), and IR. I would not trust them for 445nm, as the graph drops off sharply around that wavelength to OD 0.5. ML7s are good "all purpose" goggles for lowish power red (< 150mW), average power green (< 1500mW), near IR and 405nm.

Having two pairs of goggles seems like a pain, but one reason I go with the ML7s rather than settling for a pair of red goggles is specifically that it blocks IR which many greens produce in decent amounts unless you have a good brand of laser like CNI. They're also easier to work with than reds, which is almost too strong for green (they feel like OD6 or 7 for green).

If you don't mind the red, you could go with the cheap red laser enhancement goggles. They will cover 445nm and 532nm green to my knowledge. They also break easily, but hey for $5, what do you expect?

These, (Link) are the goggles I own (ARG, my namesake), they are great, you can hardly see any light at 1W of 445nm and a 50mW green laser is almost invisible.

They are much better than the other pair of 20$ goggles I have, I would not recommend cheap goggles, you can easily see the dot, even on low powers, and you will probably sustain retinal damage if an accident happens.

That's a pretty good VLT too, but damn is that a high OD. I'm surprised you can see any of the laser dot at all.

Just to let you guys know, i went ahead and got the eagle pair. I ordered a green laser as well from Jetlasers they are sending a pair of goggles for it.

I use my eBay green-protective goggles. You can get em for like $8 with free shipping from some trashy Chinese company and they are great. The reason they're so cheap is because they aren't refined so they're just extra strong. Too strong almost (can barely see the dot) which for me is perfect because I say you can never be too safe hahaha.

Then why do you trust your eyes to some $8 goggles? That's a bit of a bet. I use EN207 certified goggles, professional stuff.

Because cheaper isn't always necessarily worse in the important ways (like non-refined, un-certified [process] eBay goggles). You can test out the eBay goggles if you want they block out a lot more light and make me feel a lot safer than any other goggle that I have ever gotten from any laser company before!

As Bionic-Badger said, these are some good goggles. Rather spend some more money on good eye protection then have an "incident" where you got hit in the eye and the goggles did not help. As always safety above annything......well most things annyway
