i live in s.e. loosiana and want to have a nice argon shipped to me from oz. should i expect any customs issues? i would think not, but wanted to ask those in the know?

You should be fine regarding customs, however beware, shipping from Australia is VERY expensive. I need to ship out a 2kg package to the US tomorrow, it's going to cost about $90 to express it. Argon lasers weigh a lot more than 2kg.

Yeh, your probably going to end up spending 200 dollars on shipping

Lab lasers are fine to be exported/imported to and from oz

thanks for the reassurance guys! gonna cost me 168 AuD to ship, and the exchange rate is in their favor :cryyy:. i'm gonna buy it tho, pretty colored light there.

You might have to hook it up to 240v mains. Unless it does 110v too.

i've bought the laser physics reliant 505 from timelablasers. it accepts most any ac voltage. i may have to add a plug to fit my house outlets.

Bought a HeNe from TimeLab Lasers in AU. No customs issues. Shipping was expensive. But other than that, was not a problem.

You'll likely only have trouble on pointers.
