Whats the recommended way to ship and disclose the contents of a 3b laser to a restricted country? I'm trying to sell my lasers but don't want to ship abroad with the whole issue with customs and restrictions on >5mW lasers. I realise I'm limiting my options and want to at least try and find out if theres anything other than risking falsely declaring contents, something I don't really want to do. When I originally bought the lasers they were marked "hand torch."

Call them a flashlight, ship the batteries + tail cap in a separate package.

I recommend using any word except for "laser" on the customs declaration.
You don't have to falsely declare any of the contents, just be creative about your description;
Flashlight
Flash Torch
Light Emitting Device
OEM parts
Diode, driver, host
Light Wand
Lighting Effect Device
Hand Light
Electrical Components
Etc...

Whatever you do, send the batteries (and tailcap) separately, so even if the customs officials opened it, they could not power it on.

Prop, like a movie prop... Like something they use in a movie... Like a lightsaber.

LOL alrite guys i need some help to with Lazerer shipping a laser to Australia. I asked max if they could split packages in two. Heres his reply No problem will ship the item according to your instruction. However according to our shipping policy all the issue caused by custom such as tax and duty, or even confiscated is buyer own risk if they decided to try importing the laser inside their country even though they know it is banned. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Max,

Laser i want:LZBH - 532nm 100mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

From reading this thread i will ask him to have the tail cap in a separate package. Ask him too remove power sticker on laser. And write Star wars Jedi Prop on the package info.(thx fiddy!) Is there anything else i could do to make it safer?

It would probably help if the return label wasn't to a company named "Laserer." Perhaps they could get some employee to ship it so it would just be a package from "joe schmo" that contains a jedi prop.

While that's a great thought, and idea.... basically what I posted in the other thread just minutes ago:p

I don't think lazerer can do that. It would open them up to receipt claims from scammers...:undecided:
