so i went to a party last saturday
and the "DJ" had a green laser module....(awful, horrible divergence, dirt pattern and more)

but the thing is that he left it ON there during the WHOLE party, aiming the beam (and dot..duh) at a wall, at the height of one's eye!!

i wanted to slap his face with an RPL

see the pic..
(yes it would go right into your eye if u passed right thru it, and as people DONT know about lasers not laser safety, they just played with the beam like if it was magic, they tried it in their eyes too...(warned them. didnt listen, a$$holes))

YES the laser was just standing there, no movement at all

(sorry for the cr4ppy quality, sorry amnizu :p)

How powerful was the module? Anyone who intentionally looked into it deserves the eye damage...Idiots.

I tried to give your image the CSI 'ENHANCE! ENHANCE!' treatment, but it just came out looking worse.

That DJ is a total douche, somebody could lose their eye with that thing.

If people had a bit more sense, we wouldn't have all these law and regulations that limit and restrict our hobby... Young people are bound to do stupid things and a few of us old timers too...

that's why stupidity is infinite. no matter what, there's no logic for these people.

I knew a kid who used to hold his 5mW red on the center of his eye because I told him it was bad.

Honestly I was quite surprised to find that many people that have no interest in lasers what so ever, havent the faintest clue of the dangers. People who couldnt care less of the specs assume that something that fits in your hand could not have that kind of power. Why would you say deserve it? It would be the idiot holding it at eye height IMO.

Wow, whoever put the laser wherever it was needs to stare at it for however long people accidentally got hit... My cheapo red laser that's less than 2mW hurt when I accidentally shined it in my eye.. I can't imagine how much a >50mW laser would hurt.
